FESTIVAL REVIEW: Sonic Temple 2019


The debut of the Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival capped off the Danny Wimmer Presents 2019 spring festival season with sold-out crowds of 120,000 at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, OH, May 17, 18 & 19. It was a fest for the ages and one of the best lineups in the history of “The Worlds Loudest Month”, the signature of Danny Wimmer Presents music festival experiences. In addition to massive performances from Foo Fighters, System Of A Down, Disturbed, Ghost, Papa Roach and Lamb of God, the weekend offered one-of-a-kind art experiences, including legendary street artist RISK, art installations, live mural painting, live screen-printing and the popular Art Tent. After a delay due to dangerously high winds caused some of the bands to be canceled on the final day of the debut Sonic Temple Festival, Foo Fighters came out and made the wait for the fans worth it. The band frequently performs covers late in their set, and tonight brought a special performance of Queen’s mega-hit ‘Under Pressure’ which originally features David Bowie and Freddie Mercury in a duet. Singing lead was Foo Fighters drummer/singer Taylor Hawkins and The Struts’ Luke Spiller, while Foo’s frontman Dave Grohl played drums. Watch it now! Continue reading

Blink-182, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Green Day, Slipknot, Nirvana, are the Most Hacked Passwords in the World


In the early days of the internet, people used common words and phrases like sex, Jesus, 12345, first names, their birthdays, pets names, and even their own home addresses were a common password combo for users. These were also easily guessed, let alone super-hackable once more sophisticated tools were developed. Now in a damning new report, not only are these old standbys still in use, but the names of many major rock and metal bands are on a list of the most vulnerable passwords in the world. The National Cyber Security Centre of the UK (NCSC) just posted their new report with some alarming info. According to the global password risk assessment index, Blink-182 is the most common vulnerable password in the world at 23 million instances of use. This led Mark Hoppus to tweet about it! Also on the list are bands like Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Green Day, Slipknot, Nirvana, Sum 41, and Iron Maiden among others. Foo Fighters performed a concert last night as part of Super Saturday Night, a pre-Superbowl concert for the NFL. Superbowl 53 features the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams. The band played originals and covers which included guest appearances by Queen’s Roget Taylor, Dave Koz, Zac Brown, Tom Morello, and Perry Farrell! Watch The New Foo Fighters Video Teaser For “Super Saturday Night”


The Foo Fighters have released a hilarious new video, spoofing 1970’s NFL Football, just in time for the NFL Playoffs Championship Game Weekend! In addition to the band playing caricatures of 70s football players, the video features popular announcers Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw and Michael Strahan. Foo Fighters will perform on Super Saturday Night, Saturday, February 02nd—the night before the Superbowl. On that night the group will be performing live in Atlanta, GA with plans to stream the show via Twitter at @directtv and on DirecTV Audience with their set to start at 11 PM EST / 8 PM PST.
