Today, Ice Nine Kills are streaming their new album Every Trick In The Book (Fearless), before its release this Friday, December 4th. You can hear the album at this link or below:
The album is available for pre-order on iTunes and Merch Now. Lead singer Spencer Charnas explains the concept behind Every Trick In The Book:
“I would like to welcome you to Every Trick In The Book. This album is a tribute to some of the greatest literature ever written, dating from as early as the 1600’s, to as recent as the 1970’s,” explains. “These works tap into the dark recesses of the human psyche. You will journey through the horrors of addiction, possession, oppression, alienation, forbidden love, the quest for immortality, the duality of man, and in other words, the things that make life so complex. Our hope is to expose a younger generation to these stories, which are as compelling and relatable today as the day when they were first published.”
The band recently debuted a video based on the classic horror film The Exorcist for the song ‘Communion Of The Cursed’.

Metalcore is one of the most popular alternative music genres nowadays, with thousands upon thousands of bands attempting to sound ‘edgy’. It is easy to get sick of the genre really quickly, but there is occasionally a new album which comes out and proves that the genre is still going strong. That album would be To Those Left Behind (Fearless) by Blessthefall. Seriously.
Opening track ‘Decayer’ is powerful, brutal and energetic from the get-go. Although Blessthefall’s previous albums were enjoyable to listen to, there is something different about ‘To Those Left Behind’: it is easy to hear how much their sound has progressed in just a short space of time. Their sound is not only heavier, but it also sounds much more passionate.
‘Up In Flames’ was the first single to be released from the new album and it still remains one of the most exciting songs. The fusion of melodic vocals, harsh screams and heavy riffs stays true to the original Blessthefall style whilst still managing to sound fresh. Frontman Beau Bokan has stated that they do not want to be classed as a Christian metal band, but their lyrics could be seen to be of a religious theme: “Don’t drag me through your nightmare; don’t tear apart what I am. You’ve got your demons, they parallel mine. You’re not the victim, you’re my parasite.”
When a band releases a new album it is easy to say that it is either their best or worst album to date, however, Blessthefall have truly created an album to be proud of. The harsh vocals are some of the best that they have ever done and it is safe to say that Blessthefall are at the top of their game right now.

August Burns Red have released a new video clip for the track ‘Identity’, from their album Found In Far Away Places (Fearless). You can see the clip at this link or below:
Director Drew Russ discusses the making of the clip in a comment:
“This video is a mixed media piece using custom designed illustrations combined with live action footage. All of the outlines were hand drawn (by Mike Cortada) custom for this video. Then, using a light box, outlines were then painted over on watercolor paper, combined digitally and composited into the video.”
Having just wrapped up a main stage appearance all summer on on Warped Tour, the band will next be seen on a European tour with Europe / UK tour withAsking Alexandria, Memphis May Fire, andIn Hearts Wake.
