Former Divine Heresy vocalist Travis Neal is fighting cancer and has launched a GoFundMe to help pay for his ongoing treatment and care. He has accrued a “huge out-of-pocket cost so far” … “and is trying to keep a float.” Travis rose to fame as the second vocalist of Divine Heresy, led by Fear Factory guitarist/leader Dino Cazares, and released a single and the full-length the album Bringer of Plagues with the band in 2009. Travis recently recorded with Dark Shift, has had his own solo project Black Sky Ashes, formerly of Dirge Within and with many other bands. According to the post, Travis has a new album nearly completed and will give donors music in the future, rather than just a charitable donation. See the link to donate and Travis’ full message about his situation and please help.

Lauren Hart (Once Human) is The New Singer of Divine Heresy, According to Dino Cazares
Dino Cazares has shared that Lauren Hart of Once Human is the new singer of Divine Heresy. He will soon start writing music with her for a future release. Dino will play all guitars and bass, and is actively seeking a drummer, and members for gigs. He will not work with any former members of the band. CONCERT REVIEW: Ill Niño – Drowning Pool – HED.PE – Evolution Empire: Live at The Gramercy Theater
I took a ride over to the Gramercy Theater in NYC to catch the Brothers In Arms tour featuring Drowning Pool and Ill Niño with support from HED.PE and Evolution Empire. While I have been long time fan of Drowning pool, this was my first time seeing them and any of the bands on this bill.
Joe Payne, Former Bassist of Divine Heresy and Nile, Has Passed Away.
Sad news to report as we have learned that former Divine Heresy and Nile bassist Joe Payne has died. He was 36. No cause of death has been revealed. News of his passing came from a post from his former Divine Heresy bandmate Tommy Vext, who posted a message about Joe on Facebook. Payne had some personal and legal troubles, but he was well-liked and a killer death metal bassist. Other bands Payne was formerly involved in included Lust of Decay, A Sudden Fear, and his most recent Domination Through Impurity, Pain After Death, and Strains. We send our condolences to Joe’s family, friends and fans at this difficult time.

Also appearing, Tony the stuffed Tiger! Thanks to Tommy, Eleven Seven, and Bad Wolves for their time. Interview by Keefy with videography by Omar Cordy of OJC Photography. Bad Wolves – Disobey
Whether you like it or not, Bad Wolves aren’t the next big thing. That’s because they’re already the current new big thing in metal. Thrust into the spotlight by a set of serendipitous circumstances surrounding their recording of The Cranberries ‘Zombie’, a version that Dolores O’Riordan herself was scheduled to record vocals for the week that she passed as part of her endorsement of the song, Disobey (Eleven Seven) is a multi-faceted contemporary, very heavy, yet commercial album that does a whole lot more than the frankly excellent cover version might suggest you should expect.Continue reading
