Louder Than Life Festival Canceled Due To Venue Conditions


Festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents announced that, due to the continuing rain and deterioration of conditions at Champions Park, this weekend’s Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, KY has unfortunately been canceled. Full refunds for fans are available at the links below. The fest was to have featured Nine Inch Nails, Alice In Chains, Godsmack, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown and more. As fans prepared to travel from far and wide for the second largest rock and metal music festival every year but the conditions of the venue, following rains that forced the shutdown of this past weekend’s Bourbon and Beyond Festival. Deftones Are Back In The Studio Making New Music

Deftones have had a busy year so far touring, planning their own music festival, Dia De Los Deftones, and more. Now while on a slight break from touring, the band is in the studio to continue to work on new material. The band has been sharing some pictures from those jam/writing sessions in their native Sacramento, CA via their social media. It was a matter of time before Deftones curated their own festival, now it’s here! The first annual Dia De Los Deftones festival will take place on November 3 at Petco Park at the Park in San Diego, California. In addition to only one of two California dates for Deftones this year, the fest features Future, Mike Shinoda (of Linkin Park), local legends Rocket From The Crypt, H09909, Doja Cat, Voww, and Vein. Watch Deftones Play A Cover By The Cure, Rare Tracks Live


Deftones performed at the annual Meltdown Festival in London, England yesterday. This year’s edition of the festival was curated by The Cure‘s Robert Smith and the band Bromwich out a special cover and some older tracks they haven’t performed in over a decade. Watch fan-filmed footage of the the band performing The Cure‘s ‘If Only We Could Sleep’ and their own deep but ‘Battle Axe’, last played live in 2007.
