CONCERT REVIEW: Sessanta Tour – A Perfect Circle – Primus – Puscifer Live at Talking Stick Resort


So sorry, I’m a lil hungover, I was at this crazy house party last night. It was my friend’s birthday and he invited all his friends to jam out! It was insane. There were a ton of people. There were two levels to this place. The top level held three full drum kits and two lounge / living room areas with sofas. This was connected to the lower level by staircases (featuring fully functional stair lifts for the old man), and featured a ping pong table and rock em – sock em robots. It was great to see the members of the bands just hanging out and partying while randomly picking up their instruments and playing their favorite original songs.  Continue reading

ALBUM REVIEW: Billy Howerdel – What Normal Was


Billy Howerdel is best known as the songwriter and guitarist for A Perfect Circle, the band he created with his good friend James Maynard Keenan (Tool / Puscifer) after they met when Tool were supporting Fishbone for whom Howerdel was a guitar tech in the early nineties, before sharing a house together in the Hollywood Hills. Howerdel would work on his early material while also engineering for the likes of David Bowie, Guns n’ Roses, and Nine Inch Nails

Watch A Perfect Circle’s 2-D Video For “Eat The Elephant”


A Perfect Circle has been busy with their recent sold-out Hollywood Bowl appearance, intimate Grammy Museum show, and a further upcoming new run of world tour dates soon. The band also announced their participation in Record Store Day’s Black Friday, offering a limited edition 7-inch featuring ‘So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish’ with a B-side of the AC/DC cover ‘Dog Eat Dog’. They have released a new 2-D video for ‘Eat The Elephant’ directed by Steven Sebring (Horses: Patti Smith and Her Band, Dream of Life) from the companion film for the album of the same name, is part of a first of its kind, album-length hologram film viewable via a prism included in the Eat The Elephant deluxe box set. A Perfect Circle – Eat The Elephant


One of the most hotly anticipated releases of 2018 back into the spotlight. Jokes about another musical project impeding the appearance of a new Tool album aside (categorically untrue, but funny) the much-loved and missed band hasn’t so much as roared back into the light to get our attention, as they rolled through with a purposeful stride and made themselves known by clearing their throats. “Ahem. Pay attention dumbass.” What presents itself for inspection might be the best release from the band yet.
