Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Limp Bizkit, and More Confirmed for Blue Ridge Rock Festival


Quickly shaping up to be the biggest music festival in the USA this year, Blue Ridge Rock festival has announced their full line-up of 180 bands. Headlining the massive 4 day festival are  Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, and Limp Bizkit. There is a special club warm up show which includes headliner Ludacris, T-Pain, and Lil Jon. Also on tap: the Hellzapoppin Circus Sideshow Revue, a vaudeville freak show of wonder by Hellzapoppin’s Ringleader and Producer, Mr. Bryce “The Govna” Graves. In addition, excitingly, the festival will be hosted by Steve-O (MTV’s Jackass); and special guest Lou Brutus (SiriusXM).  The fest takes place September 9th – 12th at Blue Ridge Amphitheater, a long-awaited large-scale concert venue in Southwest Virginia.  Tickets are on sale now at the link below and here is the full lineup:

Atreyu Shares Two New Singles “Warrior” (ft. Travis Barker) and “Underrated”


Atreyu has shared two new singles as a surprise to fans one day earlier than promised. The band has shared “Warrior,” featuring Travis Barker of Blink-182 and The Transplants, and “Underrated” on all streaming services. These are the first new songs since their last single, “Save Us” – the first new single with Brandon Sallor as the permanent lead singer, in place of Alex Varkatzas. The new permanent Atreyu drummer is Saller’s Hell Or Highwater bandmate Kyle Rosa, who had filled in for Saller on drums in 2019 after Varkatzas sat out of their last European tour while dealing with serious back and hernia issues.

Atreyu Announce “Carry The Fire” Livestreams


Metalcore originators Atreyu have announced their “Carry the Fire” livestreams. The first stream will be a greatest hits set that takes place on Friday, November 20th. The second stream will find the band playing their classic 2007’s Lead Sails Paper Anchor in full and takes place on Friday, December 4th. There will be exclusive merch bundles and virtual meet & greets avails, as well as a separate Q+A. These will be the first shows ever with Brandon Saller exclusively as the lead vocalist. The band are working on their eighth album, which will be produced by John “Feldy” Feldman and will be released via Spinefarm Records. Their recent single “Save Us” will appear on the record.

Atreyu Officially Parts Ways with Singer Alex Varkatzas


As we previously reported, Atreyu and their founding vocalist Alex Varkatzas were having beef for a while, and now the “inventors of metalcore” have announced the departure of  Varkatzas from the band after twenty-plus years. UPDATE: Alex took to social media to refute this report, but has since left the band. According to a published report from Lambgoat, Alex Varkatzas and Atreyu have parted ways. Varkatzas helped found the band in 1998 as Retribution when he was just 14, and the band was one of the leading acts of the American metalcore revolution.Continue reading

On November 3, 2019, the relatively quiet college town of New Haven, CT welcomed a five-part, earth-shaking line up to their prized venue, Toad’s Place. Back-to-back headbangers, Santa Cruz, Tempting Fate, He Is Legend and Whitechapel, all supported Atreyu on their 20th-anniversary tour and packed out the intimate venue.
