Kamelot Book European and UK “Awaken The World” Tour Dates with Ad Infinitum and Frozen Crown
Symphonic metal icons, Kamelot, have announced they will bring their Awaken the World tour to Europe this October. The multinational band, founded and led by guitarist Thomas Youngblood, have added new dates in 17 cities across 11 countries. They will be accompanied by special guests, Ad Infinitum and Frozen Crown – both Napalm Records labelmates – as well as bonus support act Blackbriar. ALBUM REVIEW: Kamelot – The Awakening
Five years after the release of their previous studio album The Shadow Theory, US-based, multinational Power Metal legends Kamelot return with the appropriately titled The Awakening (Napalm). The symphonic act’s thirteenth studio album sees the addition of German drummer Alex Landenburg to the band’s ranks, while Swedish vocalist Tommy Karevik has now been fully and completely assimilated, the ghost of former frontman Roy Khan now just a happy memory, as Tommy delivers arguably his strongest and most versatile performance to date.

Exactly a year on from the release of Memento Mori (Napalm Records), German medieval folk metallers Feuerschwanz return with a collection of previously recorded cover versions. Releasing material lifted from bonus discs might seem a little superfluous to anyone without a tendency towards rampant completism but Todsünden is filled with surprising choices and no lack of creativity.
