Relapse Records Reissues Classic Albums by The Dillinger Escape Plan on Limited Vinyl


Relapse Records are releasing the first three classic albums by The Dillinger Escape Plan from their Relapse Alumni series on limited splatter vinyl configurations. The albums are 1999s Calculating Infinity, 2004’s Miss Machine, and 2007’s Ire Works. You can purchase each at the links below via the labels’ Bandcamp. Relapse Records is one of the greatest metal labels ever and celebrated 30 years in business in 2020.

Watch Alice Cooper Sing a New Song to Cheer Up Zak Nilsson


Rock legend Alice Cooper wrote and performed a new song to cheer up Zak Nilsson, the son of late Rock and Pop singer Harry Nilsson to cheer him up as he battles end-stage colon cancer. On a recent episode of “Coffee Talk With ADIKA Live”, a YouTube Live show hosted by bassist Stefan Adika and writer and former Rolling Stone contributor Corey Levitan, Cooper surprised Zak with the song. Adika and Leftan connected with Cooper via of Hollywood Vampires — Harry Nilsson’s old drinking club — to see if anyone wanted to send Zak a message after he recently chose to enter hospice instead of continuing treatment. Alice, the founder of the Hollywood Vampires, responded with an original song, surprising Harry during the January 2 “Coffee Talk” episode. Cooper will release his brand new studio album, Detroit Stories, on February 26 via earMUSIC.  Continue reading


Scholarship in Kyle Pavone’s (We Came as Romans) Name Launched to Help Struggling Musicians


The family of late We Came As Romans vocalist Kyle Pavone, working with the Kyle Pavone Foundation worked with the Battle Creek (MI) Community Foundation to establish the Kyle Cares Scholarship in order to help ease the financial burden of COVID-19. Up to $2,000 will be awarded per applicant until scholarship funds are exhausted. Kyle’s family has released a statement:

Joe Altier (Brand New Sin) Gets a Spotify Playlist


 

Joe Altier, the vocalist for Brand New Sin, has gotten his own Spotify playlist under his “Just Joe” moniker he records and performs under. The singer, pianist, and songwriter does originals and covers and has many studio and live albums already streaming. Joe also frequently streams video performances on YouTube and had an interview podcast. The band came out of hiatus in their hometown of Syracuse, New York for reunion shows in 2019, which produced their self-released Live at Lost Horizon live album.  Check out the playlist and his website for more on his future activities.
