So I went viral on TikTok over the weekend. I know you’re probably tired of me writing about TikTok, but going up 900 followers over the course of a weekend ain’t nothing to sneeze at. So I wanted to break down for you some of how I did that and what I learned in the process.
Slipknot has announced they have added to their already legendary Knotfest brand with the first-ever Knotfest Brazil which will take place at Sambódromo do Anhembi in São Paulo, on December 19th 2021. More than just a festival, Knotfest is an event that celebrates all cultural aspects of heavy music. Knotfest is a gathering of the biggest and heaviest bands in the world, a phenomenon created by the multi-platinum Slipknot. Launched in 2012, the festival established itself in the United States and has consistently expanded its offerings across the globe, with events in Japan, Mexico, Colombia and France. Metal mainstays such as In This Moment, and Body Count, while upstarts Code Orange and modern legends Power Trip were among the “Best Metal Performance” nominees at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, which will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 Surround Sound on the CBS television network on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT. The 63rd annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah. Last year’s best Metal Performance award went to Tool, honored with a Grammy in the pre-telecast ceremony at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, which was held on January 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Tool was nominated for “7empest”, a track from its 2019 album Fear Inoculum. Other related nominees include Beastie Boys and ZZ Top in the film category and Bill and Ted 3 for multi-media.

Metallers Kill The Ideal has released a new single and video, right in time for time spent on the frosty winter fjord. The band has dropped their cover of Led Zeppelin’s Viking Saga classic – “Immigrant Song” with a hysterical tongue-in-cheek music video as well.
