Riki Rachtman to Host Code Orange’s “Mudbangers Ball” Livestream on MudTV
As we previously reported, Code Orange will host a new livestream event for fans on July 30th. In a collaborative announcement teaser, Riki Rachtman, the host of the 1990s edition of the Headbangers Ball, Riki will host the Code Orange event MudTV. The band and Riki dropped a teaser, which Riki then explained further on his YouTube channel. According to Riki Code Orange will perform a career-spanning “unplugged” set, and Riki will host, introducing videos and the band. He will introduce a video playlist curated by Code Orange and will feature “a popular band” from France, which we are guessing means Code Orange’s labelmates at Roadrunner Records, Gojira. If figures that other modern and classic bands may factor into the playlist too. Riki will be live in the studio with the band, as he rides to Pittsburgh as part of his Riki’s Ride annual charity event, #RikisRide20. Japanese avant-garde masters Mono will return to Europe in 2021. Direct support will come from A.A. Williams. Tickets on sale Friday 17th July from the link below. Mono continues to tour behind their excellent 2019 album Nowhere Now Here (Pelagic Records). Recorded with producer Steve Albini, the band released that album, their 10th,’ in January 2019 before ending the year with the ‘Beyond The Past’ 20th anniversary shows in London in December. Black Label Society Rebooks Summer Tour Dates with Obituary and Lord Dying
Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society originally was slated to tour this spring with Obituary, and Lord Dying before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The tour was initially rebooked for this summer, but now most of the dates will take place in 2021. The shows will take place from 7/15 to 8/15. Three dates, Louisville, KY at Paristown Hall, St Petersburg, FL at Jannus Live, Charleston, SC at The Music Farm have all been canceled. Fans can get a refund for your ticket at the point of purchase.

AC/DC Shares the First Episode The Story Of “Back In Black” Video Series
AC/DC is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its classic 1980 album “Back In Black” by launching the new video series, “The Story Of Back In Black”. Episode one of the series, which focuses on the song “You Shook Me All Night Long”, is available below. Last December, “Back in Black” was certified by the Recording Industry Association Of America for U.S. shipments of 25 million copies. “Back in Black” first went platinum in October 1980 and had previously been certified 22 times platinum in December 2007. The RIAA lists “Back In Black” as the fourth biggest-selling album of all time. On July 25, 1980, AC/DC released “Back In Black” in the U.S., followed by the album’s U.K. release on July 31. It was the band’s first album without lead singer Bon Scott, who had died a few months earlier after passing out and choking on his own vomit following a long night of drinking.Continue reading
