Chris Fehn’s Lawsuit Against Slipknot Has Gone to Mediation for a Settlement

Slipknot, by Evil Robb Photography

In a story, we have continued to track since 2019, and brand new developing news broken by Metalsucks.com, lawsuits filed against Slipknot by former percussionist Chris Fehn have finally gone to mediation for a settlement, perhaps telegraphing an end to the legal saga for both parties. In 2003 Slipknot dissolved the original partnership they had before they hit it big with their debut, in favor of a new arrangement giving control of the band to Corey Taylor, M. Shawn Crahan, and their manager Robert short of RSA. Fehn sure the band and both Taylor and Crahan, and he was dismissed from the band. Since we are not lawyers, we consulted with one to get their take on the potential outcome last year. It did not look good for Fehn at the time. Metalsucks has caught up on the most recent events, which we have excerpted below, but you can read the full update at their site at this link:Continue reading

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Sonic Circus – “Over The Line”

Australian Heavy Rock band Sonic Circus has brought forth their new single and video for the track “Over the Line” and Ghost Cult brings you the first look at the clip below. The track is an ode to the information overload and negativity that comes with using social media, all while the tracks driving funky riffs and soaring melodies hook your ear. Their new album Everything releases on November 20th! Watch the clip right now!

Vocalist Jimmy VanZeno comments:

Over The Line is a song about letting ourselves be consumed by negativity. Everyday on the news at the moment all we see is dark times, fighting, violence and aggression. This translates over to Social Media with people turning on each other just for having different opinions and feelings towards society.

Over The Line is talking about turning off the news, disconnecting from negative Social Media and living our lives as life was intended – to have fun, be positive, dance, headbang, smile and enjoy your life!

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO PREMIERE: Model Stranger – “Breaks My Heart”

© 2004-2020 fadeout media

Have you ever heard a band so familiar, you swear you know them from somewhere, but can quite place it? This is the curious case of the Chicago power trio Model Stranger! Their sound straddles Classic Rock, Alternative, Indie, and some other flavors in their wild sound. The band makes great songs, with smart lyrics, hook-laden choruses, and earworm licks. This is all evident on their new single, “Breaks My Heart!” Ghost Cult brings you the music video, a performance clip that will make you miss the raw urgency of rock shows!

When asked about the live version of “Breaks My Heart”  bassist Kevin James said “The live performance for ‘Breaks My Heart’ was shot at Fort Knox Studios, our rehearsal space in Chicago. We spent countless hours writing and recording “Phases” there so what better place to capture it live than where it was conceived! We decided to put out a live performance of the first single off of “Phases” since all of our shows have been postponed.  We wanted to capture the raw live essence of us as performers on this new body of work.  This gives listeners, both old and new, a taste of where Model Stranger is going…and also what we look like having been in quarantine for months now.”
