Band vocalist/guitarist Kemble Walters stated:
“We’re all excited to announce our signing to Another Century. We’ve seen what they’ve done with their other artists and can’t wait to see what they’ve got planned for us. We are currently in the studio with Bob Marlette making a slamming record. We definitely didn’t skimp out on the nasty riffs and fat hooks! 2015 has been amazing and 2016 is going to be an even bigger year for us. Swedish death metallers Cut Up will be releasing their forthcoming album via Metal Blade Records. The band was founded by former Vomitory drummer Tobias Gustafsson and vocalist/bassist Erik Rundqvist after their former band was disbanded after 24 years. They brought in former Coldworker guitarist Anders Bertilsson and former Fetus Wrench guitarist/vocalist Andreas Björnson to complete the lineup
Gustafsson commented:
“I am very happy, proud, honoured and excited to team up with Metal Blade Records once again, this time with Cut Up! Can’t stay away from playing death metal, obviously, so it feels fantastic to have this murderous ensemble together so soon after putting Vomitory into eternal sleep. Cut Up is not just “another project”, but all four members’ new main band. We have made a debut album that we are tremendously satisfied with, both material- and production-wise. We can’t wait to let you hear it! Cut Up aim to hit the stages as soon as the album is released, so we hope to see you all in the front row and in the pit!”

Brooklyn indie rockers Haybaby has signed with Tiny Engines and will be releasing their debut album Sleepy Kids this summer.
Somewhere between the art punk of Blonde Redhead and Sonic Youth, the classic indie rock of The Pixies and The Breeders and the attitude of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Haybaby impatiently reside. The band also sprinkles a little bit of sludge and noise pop into the mix and balances their raw energy with deceptive and captivating melodies. There are brilliant structures at play here as Haybaby deftly allows these songs to create their own personalities. The band can be in your face with lyrical realness one moment while the next finds them casually sneaking a beautiful line right past you. But, regardless the approach, direct or indirect, Haybaby are thoughtful and creative with every musical step they take. These songs simply draw you in. They tell you stories. They kick your ass. They make you feel something. Sleepy Kids is the sound of a band probing to find that sweet spot and we’re just happy to listen to the process.
The band’s 2013 Superpresent EP is available for name-your-price download on Bandcamphere.
New Year’s Day will be releasing a brand new full length album later in 2015 via Another Century Records. Stream the music videos for “Defame Me” here and “Angel Eyes” (featuring Chris from Motionless In White) here.
New Year’s Day is a band that encourages their fans to embrace something that is very hard to do in a forward-thinking digital trend era; to be themselves. The Anaheim, CA band was put on the map in 2013 with their last full-length record Victim to Villain, but It is safe to say they have been through hell and back. From near-death touring experiences to bad record label situations, all of their blood sweat and tears have built a band beyond buzz-worthy and ready to show off their best songs to date. The band consists of captivating vocalist Ash Costello, bassist Tyler Burgess, guitarist Nikki Misery and drummer Nick Rossi.
The group will spend all summer on the Vans Warped Tour across North America in support of their their 5-song EP Epidemic, which was released through Grey Area Records last fall.

International punk/metal supergroup Tau Cross will be releasing their debut record in late Spring via Relapse Records.
Comprised of a pedigree of musicians including Amebix vocalist/bassist Rob “The Baron” Miller, Voivod drummer Michel “Away” Langevin, Misery guitarist Jon Misery and War//Plague guitarist Andy Lefton, Tau Cross formed in 2013 and recorded their debut album over several months in 2014 throughout three different countries.
Rob Miller commented on the project saying,
“We decided to let the songs form themselves around the original demos and allow people to bring themselves into the mix, to allow the bark to grow around the tree. We are all very proud of what we have achieved in this short time and looking forward to working together again as soon as time allows.”
“TAU CROSS will be playing live over the coming year, we hope to Tour in the U.S and Europe, it is still early days but i feel this is going to be an intense live experience.”
Chicago’s Sweet Cobra have signed to Magic Bullet Records and they have also completed their long-awaited new album, Earth, due out later this spring. The album was created with producers Matt Talbot of Hum and Kurt Ballou of Converge. Recorded at Talbot’s studio Earth Analog Studios near Chamapign Illinois, and mixed at Ballou’s Godcity Studios in Salem MA, Earth also features guest musical contributions from each producer/artist. This will be the first album of new music from the group since 2010’s acclaimed Mercy album.
Magic Bullet Records Owner Brent Eyestone commented on Earth:
“Holy hell… it’s completely badass! Kind of a new sound for the band; catchier, and I can see the appeal of the sound being much broader than their previous output. I get similar feelings from the best Queens of the Stone Age, Quicksand, and Young Widows records… super catchy slabs of heaviness.”
