Queen, Greta Van Fleet, The Pretty Reckless And More Featured On Aquaman Soundtrack

As expected Aquaman opened the Christmas holiday season at the movies with a smash hit weekend, bringing in 72.1 million dollars in the USA and an early total of 332 million worldwide so far. The movie rules (no spoilers) and might be the best DCEU film so far in terms of a cohesive story, action, and fun. Part of the charm of the film is also the soundtrack, which has a solid amount of rock music on the soundtrack. Queen, Greta Van Fleet (heard in the movie, not on the soundtrack) The Pretty Reckless, Sigur Ros, Roy Orbison, Depeche Mode and more are featured, along with pop music and the orchestral score Rupert Gregson-Williams. Hear Taylor Momsen Of The Pretty Reckless Cover Woody Guthrie For The Fourth Of July

Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless shared a video of her covering Woody Guthrie’s classic folk anthem ‘This Land Is Your Land’. Guthrie, known for his groundbreaking songwriting and social activism, covered countless times. ‘This Land Is Your Land’ was intended like most of Guthrie’s music, as a protest song. The accompanying video features photos taken by late producer Kato Khandwala, who passed away earlier in 2018 in a motorcycle accident. News has come down that award-winning music producer Kato Khandwala died yesterday in a motor-cycle crash. No other information is available at this time. Khandwala was known best for his work with bands such as The Pretty Reckless, Pop Evil, Blondie, Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach, Drowning Pool and Pierce The Veil. River City Rockfest – AT & T Center, San Antonio, TX

A blazing hot day in the Texas sun could not dampen the enthusiasm for the Bud Light sponsorded River City Rockfest, in late May. The fans came out heat or no heat to heat to the AT & T Center in San Antonio to rock out. Keeping hydrated and covered was priority number one, but the fun was was never out of of sight. Twenty-two bands played on 4 stages throughout the day and 27,950 fans attneded – the largest crowd in the five-year history of the fest. Continue reading →
