Satanic North (Ensiferum) Share Single and Video “War” with Debut Album Coming Soon



Finnish black metallers, Satanic North – featuring Petri Lindroos (Ensiferum, Warmen) and Janne Parviainen (Ensiferum) – are preparing to unleash their self-titled, debut full-length. In advance of the release, the band has revealed their first single, “War,” along with its own visualizer video. The album is due out on April 19th, in CD and vinyl formats, via the Reaper Entertainment record label. Catch the new video and more in the article below.

ALBUM REVIEW: Memoriam – To The End


 

Would you like to know what’s one of my favorite aspects of metal? It’s that it’s too goddam stubborn to ever go away. As long as there is breath in a metalhead’s lungs they’re going to find ways to tune lower or crank in even more blast beats into a song. As To The End (Reaper Entertainment) roared from my car’s stereo is when I realized that Memoriam is Karl Willets’ latest musical endeavor despite already having a hall of fame run with Bolt Thrower. Bless that man.

ALBUM REVIEW: Voodoo Gods – The Divinity of Blood


Just over a decade ago, the supergroup Voodoo Gods was created. Though the birthplace is in Florida, the lineup consists of international musicians from around the globe. The diversely skilled and experienced members came together under one banner to generate some very heavy and very hostile music. In 2014, the band exchanged one epic vocalist for another. Seasoned frontman George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher from Cannibal Corpse replaced Adam “Nergal” Darski from Behemoth as the co-vocalist and soon the group released their first full-length, Anticipation For Blood Leveled in Darkness (Saturnal Records). Though it’s been six years since their last record, the band’s heat and hatred has not cooled down. Their recently released second album, The Divinity of Blood (Reaper Entertainment) wreaks havoc in a forceful, yet slightly monotonous way. Continue reading
