CONCERT REVIEW: Narcotic Wasteland – Gorgatron – Tegmentum – Warscythe – Iron Front Live at DNA Lounge


 

The Bay Area has a knack for bringing in a veritable smorgasbord of metal acts to tantalize our “hearbuds”. DNA Lounge did its part to contribute to that unrivaled variety with the invasion of Narcotic Wasteland, Gorgatron, Tegmentum, Warscythe, and Iron Front recently. Featuring a taste of death metal, progressive metal, and even a little hint of thrash rammed into one night, this was certainly not your average Sunday night hum drum.

CONCERT REVIEW: Accept – Narcotic Wasteland Live At The Token Lounge


Old school metal lovers gathered on the west side of Detroit last Saturday to witness the acclaimed and beloved band, Accept. Nestled on the borders of two of the city’s  burbs, The Token Lounge is a cozy-sized venue that has been serving Livonia, Westland, and beyond for over fifty years. Known for welcoming everyone from world famous bands to local artists down the street, this hallowed hall was a special spot to host the legendary German/American act. Touring for the first time in a while, Accept have been excited to promote their sixteenth full-length, Too Mean to Die (Nuclear Blast Records) that came out in 2021. Read our review here! Their show last weekend hit town near the end of their month-long North American run, and we Michiganders were happy to have them.

Dallas Toler-Wade Of Narcotic Wasteland Talks Touring, New Music, And Metal Gods


Narcotic Wasteland released their second album in 2017, and it is a death metal gem. Their frontman is none other than Dallas Toler-Wade, late of the band Nile where he put his distinctive musical, and lyrical stamp on the band. Now that he is directing his full attention to Narcotic Wasteland, the band has hit the road in support of Delirium Tremens (Megaforce) for their first headline tour of the US. The band stopped off at Blackthorn 51 in Queens, New York where Ghost Cult caught up with the band and Dallas chatted about many topics.
