Moonlight Sorcery Booked for Fortress Festival
Finland’s symphonic black metallers, Moonlight Sorcery (Avantgarde Music records), have been announced for an exclusive appearance at the 2025 edition of Fortress Festival. Their only show outside of Finland until at least 2026, this will also be a UK and international debut. Fortress Festival will take place on the weekend of 31 May – 1 June 2025 at Scarborough Spa. While The Gods Are Sleeping is the debut album from Finnish black metal artists, I Am The Night. The band is made up of veterans of the scene that includes members of Insomnium, Paradise Lost and Omnium Gatherum. Here is an album dripping with nineties Norwegian black metal goodness clearly inspired by the works of Mayhem and Emperor. The traditional style and sounds are performed flawlessly by I Am The Night.
