Bloodstock Announces EMP Stage Line-Up ft. Lost Brethren, Lethal Evil, Crowley, King Kraken, MAB, Flamebearer, Rupcha Farms, Warpstormer, Goblin Smoker, Yersin and More


 

In a new partnership, Bloodstock is excited to announce the line-up for its 2024 EMP Stage (formerly the Jagermeister Stage)!  Friday’s bill will include tech/death squad Lost Brethren, thrash/death trio Lethal Evil, occult rockers Crowley, heavy blues rockers King Kraken, and goth metal outfit Mab. Saturday’s line up features grindcore/hardcore outfit Public Execution, metalcore beasts Parting With Origin, doom-fused heavyists Flamebearer, high octane fusionists Rupcha Farms and alt metal band Lurcher. Coming up on Sunday will be ‘fantasy space metal riff machine’ Warpstormer, celtic punk troupe The Callowgate Murders, fuzz-soaked riffmeisters of the Toad King Goblin Smoker, the 3-man noise machine Yersin and heavy blues rockers Loyds Trip.Continue reading


Bloodstock Announces First Bands For The Hopical Storm New Blood Stage, Metal 2 The Masses Finals Tour Kicks Off


The Metal 2 The Masses tour returns in 2024! Bloodstock’ initiative to give emerging bands a step up and also support grassroots venues, kicks off on 10th May, with 30 regions and 6 countries participating. The fun begins in Belfast and rolls down through Dublin and back to England, Scotland, and Wales, taking in Norway and Poland along the way. The tour wraps up in Coventry on 15th July, with all the regional winners from the finals being revealed in due course. Another bumper 2000trees Festival announcement today (Thursday 7th March), the final one for the 2024 event, with the 3rd and final main stage headliner, as well as a host of some of the finest acts, artists and bands playing across all of the events six+ stages. The 3rd main stage headliner for 2024 will be British rock outfit Don Broco (their only live show of 2024), who have had radio A-list singles, sold out arenas and most recently, a UK number 1 album with ‘Amazing Things’ in 2021. This will be the Bedford 4-pieces first ever appearance at 2000trees, and one that will for sure live long in the memory. Also announced today includes 2000trees royalty and all round legend, punk rock troubadour Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, in the mix for most exciting UK bands around (and also a fully-fledged 2000trees hero) Bob Vylan, one of the most talked about bands in the world right now Wargasm, the stunning Welsh indie band Los Campesinos! (who are playing their first outdoor festival since 2014 at 2000trees), and following on from their 2000trees debut last year, returning rock royalty in Empire State Bastard. 2000trees Festival have today revealed the first multiple band announcement for next years 2024 event, and it is as ever, going to be an exceptional weekend of music. Joining the already announced Thursday 11th July main stage headliner (and UK festival exclusive) The Gaslight Anthem, will be the stunning, Atlanta Georgia 4 piece Manchester Orchestra, who have long been a 2000trees fan favourite and a band that recently completed 3 sold out nights at London’s Union Chapel. Also announced include the recently reformed and much loved Kids In Glass Houses, the brilliant American emo rock band from Michigan, Hot Mulligan, Blackpool rockers Boston Manor and the Ontario two-piece (that make far more noise than two people can possibly make), Cleopatrick. ALBUM REVIEW: Grove Street – The Path to Righteousness 


 

I was a bit concerned when I got the press materials from Grove Street’s The Path to Righteousness (UNFD) as it stated that these English lads were looking to deliver something that blended elements from Hardcore, Metal, Hip Hop and other nineties buzzwords. Hell, I believe the copy read something like “the Beastie Boys with breakdowns, Pantera with prose,” and suddenly a giant exclamation point jolted out of my head like it was a Hideo Kojima production.
