Cynic Parts Ways with Drummer Matt Lynch After 10 Years

Cynic has announced that they have parted ways with drummer Matt Lynch after ten years. The band just performed at Maryland Deathfest – the culmination of two intensive years of touring, and work on a new album, Lynch has been let go. The band has not announced a new drummer yet, and their next show is August 8th, 2025, opening for Blood Incantation.   Continue reading →


Foo Fighters Fire Punk Legend and Drummer Josh Freese

Foo Fighters have officially fired drummer Josh Freese (Vandals, A Perfect Circle, Devo, Guns N’ Roses, Nine Inch Nails), who had stepped into the role in 2023 following the unexpected passing of Taylor Hawkins in March 2022. The band called Josh on Monday, May 12th, as the band had decided to “go in a different direction” for their drummer, with no other reason provided. The band has not announced a new drummer, but recently announced their first show of 2025. Aborted Drummer and Death Metal Legend Ken Bedine has Been Dismissed from the Band Ahead of European Tour, Kevin Paradis (ex-Benighted) to Fill In

Death Metal legends Aborted have announced that Ken Bedene, their drummer for 15 years, is no longer a member of the band, effective immediately. This comes ahead of their crucial European tour dates with Crypta, Zenith Passage, and Organectomy. No reason was given for the dismissal. The band has announced Kevin Paradis, formerly of Benighted, filling in, but no word if he will remain the permanent drummer.   Continue reading →
