Foo Fighters have officially fired drummer Josh Freese (Vandals, A Perfect Circle, Devo, Guns N’ Roses, Nine Inch Nails), who had stepped into the role in 2023 following the unexpected passing of Taylor Hawkins in March 2022. The band called Josh on Monday, May 12th, as the band had decided to “go in a different direction” for their drummer, with no other reason provided. The band has not announced a new drummer, but recently announced their first show of 2025.
