Jonathan Davis Reflects on 30 Years of The Debut Korn Album, and Thanks Fieldy Arviszu and David Silveria for Their Contributions
Jonathan Davis has posted to social media pausing in gratitude on the anniversary of the release of Korn’s debut album which was on Friday, October 11th, 2024. Davis reflected on the release of the album, detailing his life and mental state at the time of the release, and how honored he was that people Davis thanked former Korn drummer and co-founder David Silveria who has been out of the band since 2005, fellow co-founding bassist Reggie “Fieldy” Arvizu, who has been estranged from the band since 2021. He called both of them his “brothers” – even though neither was invited to their 30th anniversary concert last weekend. However, both ex-members were featured in the brief video tribute at the concert.

Nuclear Blast Records have had a storming year, and they continue their hot streak with the release of Hell Is Where The Heart Is by Oceans. The four piece whose members hail from Berlin and Vienna released their debut EP Into The Void in 2019 followed by Cover Me In Darkness, a second EP in the same year featuring their interpretations of tracks from the likes of Alice In Chains, Deftones and Radiohead, before dropping their debut LP The Sun And The Cold in 2020.
