Mastodon Shares New Single – “Sickle and Peace”


Prog metal masters Mastodon have shared a new single – “Sickle and Peace” – their third from their upcoming new album Hushed and Grim, due out October 29th, 2021 via Reprise Records. The new video for “Teardrinker” was directed and directed and edited by Lorenzo Diego Carrera for his company a YHELLOW Production. Comprised of fifteen tracks and dedicated to their late manager Nick John, Hushed and Grim is the first new Mastodon full-length studio album since 2017’s Emperor of Sand (Reprise). That album was Ghost Cult’s album of the year for 2017. Hushed and Grim was produced by David Bottrill (Tool, Rush, Muse, Peter Gabriel). Mastodon Records New Single, Releasing Soon


In a new interview, Mastodon has revealed that they have recorded a new single, that they will release soon. It will be the first new music since the band released 2017’s Emperor of Sand (Reprise). The band recently opened their own new studio and will spend part of 2019 recording their new album there. The band hits the road in Europe next week. The track, potentially timed to release with the tour will feature frequent collaborator and inspiration to Mastodon, Scott Kelly of post-Metal legends Neurosis, who will also feature on the tour and perform live with the band. Continue reading

Mastodon has teamed up once again with Mikeller Brewery for another beer collabo! Mastodon’s Ancient Kingdom Kingdom Beer is named for the track of the same name from their acclaimed last album Emperor Of Sand (Reprise). Mastodon To Begin Writing New Album In Early 2019


In a new interview, Mastodon drummer and lead vocalist Brann Dailor revealed the band is already planning the follow-up to 2017’s Emperor Of Sand (Reprise) album. The band is already sketching out ideas while on tour, most recently with Primus and upcoming Canadian tour dates with Dinosaur Jr., and will reconvene officially early next year to begin in earnest.
