Mastodon Shares New Single – “Sickle and Peace”

Prog metal masters Mastodon have shared a new single – “Sickle and Peace” – their third from their upcoming new album Hushed and Grim, due out October 29th, 2021 via Reprise Records. The new video for “Teardrinker” was directed and directed and edited by Lorenzo Diego Carrera for his company a YHELLOW Production. Comprised of fifteen tracks and dedicated to their late manager Nick John, Hushed and Grim is the first new Mastodon full-length studio album since 2017’s Emperor of Sand (Reprise). That album was Ghost Cult’s album of the year for 2017. Hushed and Grim was produced by David Bottrill (Tool, Rush, Muse, Peter Gabriel). Mastodon to Release New Single This Week, New Compilation Album Due This Fall

Prog metallers Mastodon will release a new single, “Fallen Torches”, on Friday, July 31st. The song comes from the new Mastodon rarities collection dubbed Medium Rarities, which is scheduled to arrive on September 11. Members of High on Fire and Mastodon Tease a Team-Up

This is not a drill! Matt Pike of High on Fire/SLEEP and Brent Hinds of Mastodon are apparently working on some music together! The photo was posted by Hinds on Instagram and then shared on the High On Fire Facebook account. Mastodon is working on new music, with a new album expected in late 2020 or 2021. High on Fire is still touring behind their epic 2018 album Electric Messiah (eOne Music)  The caption teased “something special for all you guys! Stay tuned for more photos,videos&tunes Who knows what these guys are kicking up together, be it music for their respective bands, or some new supergroup.
