The Other One is a concept album about being in a place called the Metalverse. Each of the ten songs have a specific theme concerning being in the parallel worlds that are discovered within this Metalverse. However, one must understand Japanese to understand the lyrics and the deeper meanings behind the songs. This facet does not distract from the amazeballz that is Babymetal.
Despite 19 years in the business, American punk rockers The Bronx’s new album Bronx VI (Cooking Vinyl) is just as energetic and full on as ever. Platinum-selling rock band Stone Sour will release their first-ever live album Hello, You Bastards: Live In Reno on December 13th via Cooking Vinyl. The release features 16 of the band’s most loved tracks, including the first single ‘Absolute Zero’, ‘Through Glass’ and ‘Song 3’ recorded live on October 5th of 2018. The album will be available on CD, digitally, and as a numbered 180gram double vinyl package, limited to just 2500 copies, which also includes a poster, backstage pass, guitar pick, autographed setlist, and a download card. Marilyn Manson posted to his Instagram account today that he was in the final process of his new album, recorded with Outlaw Country artist and producer Shooter Jennings. The album is tentatively slated for release in late 2019 via Manson’s label Hell Inc/Cooking Vinyl. Manson and Jennings previously teamed up in 2016 to record a cover version of David Bowie’s ‘Cat People (Putting Out Fire)’ for Jennings’s Countach (For Giorgio) LP, a covers collection featuring songs by electronic-music pioneer Giorgio Moroder. While performing at Hammerstein Ballroom at The Manhattan Center In New York City last night when a stage prop fell on and seriously injured Marilyn Manson. Manson was performing his hit ‘Sweet Dreams’and was ¾ through his set when the accident happened. A giant prop of two guns fell on him when he appeared to lean on it. The show ground to a halt while Manson received medical care and was taken out on a stretcher, after possibly breaking his leg. The rest of the show was then canceled.
