Blackbraid’s New Album “Blackbraid III” to Be Heard at Fire in the Mountains Festival Before Release


Indigenous American black metal artist, Blackbraid, has revealed that his third studio album, Blackbraid III, is set for release in the summer of 2025. Together with Fire in the Mountains Festival, he has curated a special pre-release event, where festival attendees will get to hear the record in advance. Blackbraid Shares a Cover of I’s “Warriors” – European Tour Coming Soon



Indigenous black metal project, Blackbraid has shared a cover of the song “Warriors,” originally featured on the 2006 album Between Two Worlds, by I (Abbath, Enslaved, Gorgoroth, Immortal). The band also embark on their European headlining tour, On Wings of Sacred Death, kicking off on Friday, October 11th, at Soulcrusher festival in Nijmegen (NL). Making its way through nine countries, the run will see Blackbraid joined by Lamp of Murmuur and Dödsrit. Keep reading below for the new video and live listings.

The 38th edition of Finnish metal festival, Nummirock, takes place in Kauhajoki, Finland, 19-22 June 2024. Mortiferum Replace Sylvaine at Fortress Fest, joining Triptykon, Wolves In The Throne Room, Blackbraid, and more


US atmospheric death metal band, Mortiferum, have been brought in to replace Sylvaine, after they withdrew from North Yorkshire’s Fortress Festival. Also appearing at the event are Triptykon, Wolves In The Throne Room, Panopticon, Blackbraid, Misþyrming, Regarde Les Hommes Tomber, and more. Ghost Cult’s Album Of The Year 2023: Part 4 – And The Number One Album is Blackbraid’s – “Blackbraid II”


And then there was one.

Ghost Cult started out in the Netherlands in 2012 as a digital magazine, and we mainly covered only underground bands with rare mentions of mainstream artists. As we became a global brand, we incorporated more classic metal, modern heavy bands, and some mainstream coverage too, since that’s what all the big websites and magazines do, and we thought that’s what we should do. We’re okay with that. We still cover tons underground bands with reviews, interviews, and concerts. In a throwback, more underground bands made our final voting list from our staff than in many years. We like that too.

Thermal count is rising in perpetual writhing, the primordial ooze of albums continues, and the sanity they lose choosing their favorites of the year. Awakened in the morning, to more ear-pollution warnings…

Hellsinki Metal Festival Has Booked Avantasia, Hammerfall, Kreator, Satyricon, Insomnium, Doro, Blackbraid and More for 2024


Hellsinki Metal Festival has announced their first bands for the 2024 event! The fest takes place on August 9th & 10th in Helsinki@! The first announcement includes Avantasia, Hammerfall, Kreator, Satyricon, Insomnium, Doro, Blackbraid and many more! Hellsinki Metal Festival, organized for the first time this year, found its own place on the Finnish festival grounds on the second weekend of August in 2023. More than 11,000 visitors were able to enjoy a bold and versatile lineup of performers, which also included several bands that rarely visit Finland.
