Californian band Hail The Sun have been knocking around for a few years now with their debut, the brilliantly titled POW Right In The Kisser being self-released back in 2010. They have always seemed to me at least a band with an intriguing set of influences and styles that have never quite meshed together over an entire album. Among the big announcement that System Of A Down would headline the next Aftershock Festival, is also that the band have announced a series of tour dates. Direct support at some shows will come from At The Drive-In, Clutch, Pallbearer, Skeletonwitch and perhaps more bands. Post-hardcore fans rejoice! According to a reply in a tweet by Cedric Bixler-Zavala, The Mars Volta may be reuniting and doing it soon. A fan tweeted some love for the seminal band that broke up officially in 2012, and Cedric responded with a not so subtle answer about a pending reunion. Former members of The Mars Volta play in offshoot bands At The Drive-In and Antemasque among others. No word yet if a return from TMV includes new music or just touring.Continue reading
