His last solo album was Degradation Trip (Roadrunner Records), released in 2002 the epic solo album he made in 2002 with future Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and Faith No More drummer Mike Bordin. Jerry Cantrell Signs New Endorsement Deal with Gibson Guitars as a Brand Ambassador
Jerry Cantrell has announced a new partnership with Gibson Guitars. Gibson, in business for the past 126 years, has announced today, January XX, 2020 that Cantrell–main songwriter, lead guitarist, and vocalist for the pioneering rock band Alice in Chains–will join as the brand ambassador. Jerry Cantrell will be doing a signing in the Gibson experience space, 3rd Floor, Ballroom A at Winter NAMM on Saturday, January 18 at 4:00 pm. REVIEW: William DuVall: Live at Cutting Room
If you have read these web pages of Ghost Cult, you know one of our favorite albums of 2019 is the solo début album from William DuVall of Alice In Chains. While many know him for fronting that legendary band since their comeback in 2006. However, as discussed in our review of One Alone, Duvall’s lengthy career has traversed genres and time-space in a way that all great singer/songwriters can. The album is introspective, yet fiery and lends itself to this solo setting. With the artist doing a brief tour to promote the release, we were excited to see a new side of the man in person at Cutting Room in midtown east neighborhood of Manhattan. Continue reading

One of the most anticipated albums of 2019, Silvertomb is made up of some pretty famous alumni of pretty legendary bands. Flying behind the sails of creativity from the talents of Kenny Hickey and Johnny Kelly of Type O Negative fame, the pair have played together since their were teens, and in other bands as well. If you only know William DuVall from his time in Alice In Chains, you might have missed out on his multifaceted musical career spanning over thirty years. From Hardcore Punk, post-Grunge, RnB, and producer of other artists, he has run the gamut of styles, and often making everyone around him glimmer too. That’s why on his debut solo album One Alone, (DVL Records), it’s so refreshing to hear him just as the title indicates and armed only with his singular voice, and acoustic guitar to bring these eleven tracks to life.
