Hopefully returning for 2021, Helsinki’s Tuska Festival is one of the greatest musical events in the world. Gojira has been added to the bill, joining other headliners Korn, Gojira, Deftones, Devin Townsend, Bodom After Midnight, Insomnium, Mokoma, Beast In Black, Symphony X, Eluveitie, Jinjer, Lost Society, Belzebubs, High On Fire, Perturbator, Oranssi Pazuzu, Vltimas, Gaahls Wyrd and more to be announced. Gojira returns, along with Korn and Deftones as headliners from the previously canceled 2020 event.

Major news for Classic Rock royalty as AC/DC’s Power Up (read our review here) has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, giving the legendary rock band its third chart-topping album in their career. The new studio effort was released via Columbia Records on Nov. 13 and starts with 117,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Nov. 19, according to Nielsen Music. AC/DC previously hit No. 1 with 2008’s Black Ice and 1981’s For Those About to Rock (We Salute You). Power Up is AC/DC’s 26th charting album, and 10th top 10. Power Up has registered the largest sales week of 2020 for a rock album. The last rock set to log a larger sales frame was Tool’s Fear Inoculum (248,000; chart dated Sept. 14, 2019). Power Up’s sales were assisted by some retailer exclusive editions, vinyl variants, and an elaborate limited-edition deluxe CD package that retails for $49. As we previously reported, Devin Townsend will host his “A Very Devy Christmas” Live Stream special on December 23rd, and now finally has a Christmas song to share, to get you into the spirit of the season. Listen to Devy’s lovely rendition of the classic religious carol, “Silent Night.” Devy plans to record and release more holiday tracks from the sound of it! Life of Agony frontwoman and Rock and Metal legend Mina Caputo has surprise-released her latest solo album, The Mones exclusively via Caputo’s Bandcamp. Caputo has been a solo artist for many years and has released 17 albums either as a solo act or inside bands outside of LOA. Mina’s ability to marry her powerful voice with vulnerable, yet hero lyrics is her calling card. Mones contains 12 more tracks that further this legacy. The album features bass performances from John Norwood Fisher (Fishbone) and Rick Boston (Joe Cocker). Mones was produced by Mina and Andy Kravitz, with Mastering and Artwork/layout by her LOA bandmates Joey Z and Alan Robert respectively, with an album cover photo by Michael Anthony Alago.
