Ghost Cult’s Albums of the Year 2022: Part 1 (75 – 41)

After a false start, someone (naming no names) got rather over-excited about a new Power Metal band that promptly disappeared out of the collective consciousness, it wasn’t until mid-January, and a new 40 Watt Sun album, that alternative, rock and metal really got out of the starting blocks for 2022.

And from there, we were treated to a plethora of strong albums as every week saw a handful of albums strongly recommended by our team of talented writers, each of them with glorious tastes.

While there were no overriding trends of note, 2022 did see a diversity of style, sound and talent impress us all, drain our wallets, and fill our libraries (digital or otherwise) with the picks of the year spread across a variety of sub-genres. So, from an ocean vast, our school of writers, photographers, editors and alumni have cast their nets and summoned from the deep Ghost Cult‘s democratically chosen and vaunted top 75 albums of 2022.
