Swedish hardcore outfit Grieved have signed with Prosthetic Records and have began working on a new full length due later this year. In the meantime, the label has re-released their latest album Samaritans. The band is currently on a brief European tour with dates below. Watch the signing trailer below.

The album was recorded at the Diamond Factory in Austin, TX with engineer Travis Bonner (Ancient VVisdom) and mastered by Paul Logus (Satyricon, Clutch, Anthrax).

Óskar Logi Ágústsson, singer and guitarist of Icelandic rocker The Vintage Caravan played a key role in the new Icelandic film Metalhead, as the older brother of the main character who died of a gruesome death, leading their sister to adopt the lost brother’s musical lifestyle.. The film was directed by Ragnar Bragason. Watch the trailer below.

The Vintage Caravan’s second album Arrival is due out June 2, 2015 via Nuclear Blast, and was produced by Axel “Flexi” Árnason, who also worked on the band’s album Voyage. Watch the album trailer below.

Northern Virginia Southern doom rockers King Giant is streaming an album teaser for their upcoming third album Black Ocean Waves, self released this Spring with digital distribution with The Path Less Traveled. They recorded the album at Magpie Cage Studios in Baltimore, MD and J. Robbins (Clutch, The Sword, Wino) engineered and mixed the album. Robbins also performed Hammond organ on the track, “Blood Of The Lamb,” and background vocals on “Trail Of Thorns.” Cover art was done by Misty Kilgore.
