Ozzy Osbourne Teases An Ozzfest In New York
As Ozzy Osbourne has kicked off his “No More Tours 2” farewell tour in Europe with festival performances such as Download, word on the future of Ozzfest has been mum. Ozzy has said he would consider special solo performances and festival slots with himself and Black Sabbath down the road. By this time last year Ozzfest Meets Knotfest had already been announced, so industry insiders were wondering if we are even getting some form of an Ozzfest, Ozzfest Meets Knotfest or Knotfest itself for that matter. Now Ozzy has shared on his social media accounts a request for fans to provide who they want to see at an Ozzfest in New York. If the fest will happen this fall, the announcement would have to be in the next month or so at the latest. Ozzy’s current tour dates with Stone Sour run through mid-October. Ozzfest Meets Knotfest featured Ozzy, Stone Sour, Prophets of Rage, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Deftones, Testament and dozens of other bands. An Ozzfest could easily be held in New York City proper such as Governor’s Island, Central Park, Icann Stadium on Randall’s Island, several great spots in Upstate New York like Darrien Lake, SPAC in Saratoga, or in New Jersey. Ghost Cult will keep following this story as it develops. See the post below, contribute to the poll and make your voice heard so we get more Ozzfests! Continue reading
