Trivium Books UK Tour Dates with Heaven Shall Burn, TesseracT, and Fit For An Autopsy


Thrash metal leaders Trivium have announced a tour of the UK for next fall, 2021. Direct support Heaven Shall Burn, TesseracT, and Fit For An Autopsy. Tickets will be available via an O2 pre-sale from 4pm Monday 7th December and a Gigs In Scotland/Live Nation pre-sale from 4pm Tuesday 8th December, with the general on sale beginning 4pm Wednesday 9th December. EXCLUSIVE: Dead Original – “Let it Burn” Official Video


Dead Original is a new hard rock trio from Chicago, that features in its ranks frontman Paul Wandtke who got his start in the music industry as a drummer for hire with Trivium, Kill Hannah, and even the hit musical Rock of Ages. Now leading his own group the band, which also includes Sean McCole on drums and Mike Petrasek (Bedlem) on bass, has a post-Grunge sound mixed with some proggier moods. Trivium Announces “The Deepest Cuts II’ Livestream Event on Twitch


Trivium have announced “The Deepest Cuts II,” the second and final installment in the band’s series of free, single-cam livestream shows that broadcast from their rehearsal room in Orlando, Florida. The performance is scheduled for Saturday, October 24 at 3pm ET/12pm PT/8pm UK/9pm EU time and will stream on frontman/guitarist Matt Heafy’s ever-popular Twitch channel. The setlist for “The Deepest Cuts II” is below. Trivium are also allowing the fans to choose the order in which they want to hear the songs that comprise the set list. There will also be a special merch drop to accompany the show.

Original Trivium Bassist Brent Young Has Died


Sad news as word has come down that former Trivium bassist Brent Young has died. No cause of death has been revealed. Young played on their debut album Ember To Inferno and embarked on their first tours of the USA and Europe with them., The news came from Trivium founder Matt Hjeafy on Instagram as he posted a photo with the caption “We have just been given word on the passing of one of the early members of TRIVIUM, Brent Young. “Having had a couple wonderful years with Brent in the Florida local band scene, doing the Blue demo and ETI together, the very first European mini-tour and first USA tour together – I have nothing but amazing memories of a wonderful person. “Our hearts and condolences go out to all of Brent’s family and friends.” Young had launched a new band several years ago, Blacknova with former Trivium drummer, Travis Smith. Megadeth, Lamb of God, Trivium and In Flames Tour Rebooked for 2021


Megadeth, Lamb of God have just rebooked their highly anticipated co-headlining tour that will cover two-legs in 2021. The North American shows will also feature Trivium and In Flames as direct support for the entire run. Megadeth Will Record 18 Songs for Their New Album


Megadeth leader Dave Mustaine has revealed that the band is in the studio and recording up to 18 songs for their highly-anticipated new album, As part of their “The Metal Tour Of The Year” streaming event hosted by SiriusXM’s Jose Mangin, Dave spoke about the progress of the recording sessions for the band’s follow-up to 2016’s “Dystopia” album. He said (see video below, transcribed by Blabbermouth.net): “Dirk [Verbeuren, drums] and David Ellefson [bass] both just finished their parts. And this was probably one of the strongest records we’ve ever had as far as duration. The other records we’ve done have all done been different lengths, and our [record] contract that we have [to deliver] for one company, it’s eight songs, for another company, it’s 11 songs, so, realistically, all we need to do is do an 11-song album and we’re done, right? That’s not the way old Uncle Dave is, though.

ALBUM REVIEW: Bleed From Within – Fracture


Glasgow may not be considered a heavy metal hub, but the band Bleed From Within proves that Scotland can produce some pretty extreme musicians. Formed fifteen years ago, this young, charged-up group of guys sought to make a spectacle of aggression and severity. Their early works took on a very vengeful edge that was mainly categorized under the Deathcore genre. Now, these fresh-faced Scots present a more sophisticated take on the ‘Core’ genres while merging it with Modern Metal on their new fifth full-length album, Fracture (Century Media Records).Continue reading
