As reported by Blabbermouth.net, Slipknot and Stone Sour singer Corey Taylor has completed work on his new solo album, from quarantine. The 46-year-old rocker broke the news of the LP’s completion during an appearance earlier today (Friday, May 22) on We Are Hear’s “Raise Your Horns With Lzzy Hale”, hosted by Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale. Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has raised over 150k along with eBay with their charity guitar auction. The funds will go to benefit Covid-19 Response Efforts. After two weeks and nearly 800 bids, Taylor raised over $75,000 USD which was matched by eBay for Charity, totaling over $150,000 USD donated to Direct Relief in support of their COVID-19 response efforts.Continue reading

Avatar Will Release New Album “Hunter Gatherer” This Summer


Swedish theatrical metallers Avatar has set Hunter Gatherer as the title of their new album, due on August 7th via eOne Music. The band revealed the name of the new disc in a one-and-a-half-minute video teaser, inspired by The Matrix films and Blade Runner, which was uploaded to their official YouTube channel. Songs set to appear on the LP include ‘Colossus’, ‘Child’, ‘Scream Into The Void’, ‘Silence In The Age Of Apes’, and ‘Secret Door’, the latter of which featuring a whistling spot by Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor.Continue reading

Stone Sour Shares Unreleased Demo of “Your God” from “Come What(ever) May”


Stone Sour has released a demo version of the song ‘Your God’. The original track appeared on the band’s sophomore album, Come What(ever) May, which came out in 2006 via Roadrunner Records. Josh Rand curated the post, as he has done all year sharing demos, while the band is, according to Rand, on indefinite hiatus. Corey Taylor’s other band Slipknot is in the middle of an album and tour cycle for their recent album We Are Not Your Kind, and he is also planning a solo album and book release for 2020.
