Darkness Everywhere (Light This City, Crepuscle, and More) Shares New Single “Reign of Chaos


New Melodic Death Metal band Darkness Everywhere unites vocalist – guitarist -drummer Ben Murray (Light This City), guitarist Cameron Stucky (Crepuscle), and renowned muscian, producer, and engineer Zack Ohren (Machine Head, All Shall Perish, Pathology) on bass. The band was formed in late 2020 with the goal of writing songs heavily influenced by the classic mid-1990s Swedish Melo-Death sound. The Bay Area-based band will release their new full-length album, The Seventh Circle, will see a digital release on February 25th through Creator-Destructor – the label owned and operated by Murray. Machine Head Shares Behind The Scenes Video for their New Song “Circle The Drain”


 

Machine Head has shared a behind the scenes video for their presumed next single, “Circle the Drain”. The video goes through the genesis of the track started in 2018, from Robb Flynn singing demos into his phone’s voice records, to tracking the song at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland with Zack Ohren, to the moment when former members Phil Demmel and Dave McClain quit the band and more. Also revealed in the video, Naveen Koperweis (Entheos, ex Animosity, ex Animals As Leaders) recorded drums on the track, which Robb originally intended to be a duet with a female singer, such as Floor Jansen of Nightwish, and has a very melodic chorus. Machine Head has been rolling out new content weekly since announcing their “Burn My Eyes 25” reunion tour with original members Logan Mader and Chris Kontos. California technical death metallers Inanimate Existence will be supporting Cannibis Corpse and Mammoth Grinder on their US Tour. They will be touring behind their A Never-Ending Cycle Of Atonement full-length, released this past Summer via Unique Leader Records.

The album was tracked by Max Zigman (Son Of Aurelius, Smaragos) at Parade Outrageous in Santa Cruz and produced by Zack Ohren (Light This City, All Shall Perish, First Blood, Cattle Decapitation, Warbringer et al) at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland.
