Deftones Share a Music Video for “infinite source” – “Private Music” Out Now

Deftones have just dropped their highly anticipated tenth studio album, private music, today, August 22nd, 2025 via Warner Records. Read our review here. The album, their first in five years, with being this the longest gap between albums for the band since their 1995 debut, Adrenaline (Warner/Maverick Records). The band held a global live listening stream just hours before the album was released digitally worldwide. Deftones also have many listening parties scheduled throughout North America in participating record and music stores today with free merch. ALBUM REVIEW: Deftones – private music

Five years can seem like an eternity if one is a big enough fan of a band, and waiting half a decade for new music from Deftones has certainly had fans chomping at the bit. Deftones’ 2020 album Ohms (Reprise Records, review here) took on a heavy and reflective tone that mirrored the emotional distress of the pandemic and lockdown. Now, Deftones followers can rejoice, as the band have emerged with private music (via Reprise and Warner Records), with eleven tracks of silver lining to what’s been a tense 2025. Co-produced and recorded in California and Nashville with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Korn, Alice In Chains, Mastodon), who worked on 2010’s Diamond Eyes and 2012’s Koi No Yokan (both also Reprise/Warner).Continue reading →

Deftones have shared the official music video for their new single “milk of the madonna,” the second new single following “my mind is a mountain,” from the new album Private Music! Pre-orders are live for Private Music, out August 22, 2025 via Reprise/Warner Records below. Their EU/UK Tour kicks off January 29 at the Adidas Arena in Paris. It includes 15 shows across major cities, including Brussels, Berlin, Amsterdam, Manchester and Dublin, before wrapping at The O2 in London on February 20. Deftones Continue to Tease New Album and Single “Private Music”

Deftones continue to tease a new album and single drop, possibly titled Private Music, which will be their 10th studio album since forming in 1989 in Sacramento, California. They began teasing something called “Private Music” on their current European and UK tour of festivals, including their June 30th headline show at Crystal Palace in the UK.  The band has indicated in interviews with members, and over social media they had wrapped up recording with producer Nick Raskulinecz last year.
