God Forbid to Reunite at Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2022

After a few months of teasing one, God Forbid have announced their first reunion show in over nine years. Guitarist Doc Coyle ( also of Bad Wolves) has posted on his social media about their upcoming show at Blue Ridge Rock Festival. Based on the photo they have released, it appears they won’t be joined by second guitarist Matt Wicklund who joined the band from 2009 to 2013. Instead, perhaps original guitarist Dallas Coyle (brother of Doc, who has a new band SVSPVRP), who left in 2009 will be returning to the stage. More on this as it unfolds.

Well, that sure isn’t the case with Disciples of Verity. Not only does the band boast a who’s who of dynamic talents from across Rock and Metal (Living Colour, God Forbid, Negative Sky, Sekond Skyn), their debut release Pragmatic Sanction (The Label Group/InGrooves) has a ton of memorable songs; heavy enough for the real headbangers, but catchy enough for the masses. CONCERT REVIEW: Disciples of Verity – Patterns of Decay – Concrete Dream – Behind the Bullet Live at The Kingsland

With the release of two recent singles ‘Worthy’ and ‘Lying to Myself’ from their forthcoming album, Pragmatic Sanction (InGrooves), Disciples of Verity made their debut at The Kingsland in Brooklyn New York. Every time he hit a cymbal, it felt like the kit was holding on for dear life.
