The 38th edition of Finnish metal festival, Nummirock, takes place in Kauhajoki, Finland, 19-22 June 2024. As well as a host of national bands, the organisers have invited a number of acts from abroad; Body Count (US), Kerry King (US), Thy Art Is Murder (AU), Suffocation (US), Eluveitie (CH), Blackbraid (US), The Halo Effect (SWE), Shadow of Intent (US), Rise of the Northstar (FRA), Mister Misery (SWE), Thrown (SWE), and Party Cannon (UK). Tuska Festival 2021 Canceled Due to The Pandemic, Set to Return in 2022


Another festival bites the dust due to the pandemic as Tuska Festival has been forced to cancel their 2021 event, and plan to rebook for 2022. Some rock and metal festivals worldwide are trying their best to bounce back from the last year, but in the case of Tuska, they didn’t feel like the conditions worked for hosting the fest. Tuska 2021 was to have been headlined by Korn, Deftones, Gojira, Devin Townsend, Baroness, insomnia,, Beast In Black, Eluveitie, Jinjer, Finntroll, High on Fire, Perturbator, Oranssi Pazuzu, Vltimas, Gaahls Wyrd, Korpiklaani, and many more. Gojira Joins Tuska Festival 2021 as a Headliner 


Hopefully returning for 2021, Helsinki’s Tuska Festival is one of the greatest musical events in the world. Gojira has been added to the bill, joining other headliners Korn, Gojira, Deftones, Devin Townsend, Bodom After Midnight, Insomnium, Mokoma, Beast In Black, Symphony X, Eluveitie, Jinjer, Lost Society, Belzebubs, High On Fire, Perturbator, Oranssi Pazuzu, Vltimas, Gaahls Wyrd and more to be announced. Gojira returns, along with Korn and Deftones as headliners from the previously canceled 2020 event.

Vagos MetalFest in Portugal has followed up their announcement of headliners in Behemoth, they have now added Eluveitie, Unleash The Archers and D.R.I. to the 2020 event. The fifth edition of the fest takes place between July 30th – August 1st 2020 in Vagos, Portugal. FESTIVAL REVIEW: Bloodstock Open Air 2019


Now in its nineteenth year, the annual metal pilgrimage to Bloodstock Open Air at Catton Hall in Derbyshire was joined this year by a very special, but highly unstable, guest.

The weather.

Yes, I know it’s England in August, and we should be more than accustomed to inconsistent weather conditions, but this really was something else. Tents too hot to be inside one moment were waterlogged the next. People soaked to the skin by sudden, torrential downpours were suffering sunburn minutes later. Grass turned to mud, mud became rivers, and the unprecedented winds would go on to cause problems all of their own.Continue reading

Bloodstock Open Air is in 8 Weeks, Adds More Jager Stage Bands


Bloodstock Open Air, the best independent Metalfest in the world has added two more bands to its 2019 bill. Skypilot, Graves, Beggar, Black Shuck, Foul Body Autopsy, Jailbirds and Womanowar have all been added. More Jager stage bands will be announced next month. BOA also announces more Metal 2 the Masses winners: Grand Elder, Blind Divide, Scars of Remembrance, Elyrean, Fear Bound, Lost in Lavendar Town have all joined the fest.
