Full disclosure there is in no way I can present an unbiased opinion about Roadburn. This is my seventh straight year and I’m gifted a much greater amount of privilege than the average attendee. I’ve earned lifelong friendships. It’s become more than just a music festival for me. It’s a second home for five days out of every year. I’m allowed to work alongside other extremely talented and hard-working photographers and for a limited time at the beginning of every set I’m granted the best spot in the house. Baltimore krautrock duo, Darsombra, have just shared an official video for “Shelter In Place.” It is taken from their 2023 album, Dumesday Book, which the Crucial Blast record label has re-issued as a limited edition double cassette box set. This all comes just a few days before a seven week tour of Europe and the UK for the two-piece. The run starts at Roadburn 2024 in Tilburg, Netherlands on April 19th, and includes spots at Desertfest London and EOM25 fest. It also sees Darsombra hit their first shows in Poland and Ireland. After touring heavily across North America in 2023, in support of their Dumesday Book album, Baltimore duo, Darsombra, have announced a plethora of new tour dates. This includes some special events and festivals, such as Roadburn, Exile On Mainstream 25, Desertfest, film and music gathering Sleeping Giant Fest. Keep reading below for more information.
Roadburn has added thirty new bands to the bill for 2024, including several special commissioned performances which are the hallmark of this festival. In addition, to HEALTH performing on the main stage for the first time, Kavus Torabi, Ragana Royal Thunder Birds In Row, Body Void, Darsombra, Sunrot, Thantifaxath, are among the new artists for the fest. Desertfest London proudly welcomes the legendary Suicidal Tendencies to their 2024 event as Roundhouse headliners. Psychedelic Rock duo Darsombra caught up with Keefy of Ghost Cult to discuss their recent release “Dumesday Book”. The long-running Baltimore band just wrapped up an astounding run of tour dates, and discussed their songwriting style, a breakdown of the album track-by-track, their favorite concept albums, and our mutual love of Shadow Woods Metal Fest!
