Bloodstock Open Air has announced the headliners and other bands for their The Sophie Lancaster Stage added a bunch of new bands Bloodywood, Cattle Decapitation, Memoriam, Ramage Inc., Green Lung, and Bossk to the 2020 edition of the festival. The fest already includes main stage headliners are Devin Townsend (Friday), Behemoth (Saturday), and Judas Priest (Sunday). The festival also welcomes Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Skindred, Paradise Lost, Life Of Agony, Black Dahlia Murder, Diamond Head, Jinjer, Vio-Lence, Sacred Reich, Gloryhammer, Dark Tranquility, and Butcher Babies so far. ALBUM REVIEW: Despised Icon – Purgatory
So here I am tasked to review the new Despised Icon album, Purgatory (Nuclear Blast). The easy route for most skeptical heavy music reviewers is to just proclaim it as another Despised Icon release, give it a quick write-up and denounce Deathcore as the scourge of metal. Bloodstock 2020 continues to expand its roster with the announcement of two new headliners: Judas Priest and Behemoth! Judas Priest will perform their 50th Anniversary set while Behemoth will perform their grand headline show. You can watch teaser videos of the announcement from both bands below. Devin Townsend is The First Headliner Announced For Bloodstock 2020
Bloodstock Open Air has made their first headliner announcement for their grand 2020 anniversary festival, naming Devin Townsend to headline Friday Night on the Ronnie James Dio stage. Devin breaks the news in a video you can watch below. Other bands announced are Jinjer, Gloryhammer, joining previously announced acts Skindred, Black Dahlia Murder, Vio-Lence, Sacred Reich, Dark Tranquillity, and Butcher Babies. Chicago metallers Kastasyde is streaming the title track from their upcoming album Gnosis, out June 2, 2015. Gnosis was mixed and tracked by Chris Wisco at Belle City Sound in Racine, Wisconsin. Drum tracking was done by Pete Grossman at Bricktop Recording in Chicago. The album features a guest guitar solo by Black Dahlia Murder guitarist Ryan Knight as well as lap steel guitar contributions by Justin Spring. The band features Featuring vocalist Jarrett Roberts, guitarists Eric Kornfeind and Jerome Marshall, bassist Dustin Roberts, and drummer Garry Naples (November Doom).

Six Feet Under bassist Jeff Hughell has released his new solo album Chaos Labyrinth, available at jeffhughell.com. Guests on this record include Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, Sadus, Death), Alex Webster (Cannibal Corpse), Sean Martinez (Rings Of Saturn) on the title track, as well as Matt Sotelo (Decrepit Birth), Ola Englund (Feared, The Haunted) and Kevin Talley (Black Dahlia Murder, Daath).
Feared Releasing New Album Synder on May 25th
Feared, the Swedish death metal outfit led by The Haunted and former Six Feet Under guitarist Ola Englund, will be releasing their fifth album Synder on May 25, 2015. The record will once again feature artwork by Sylvain Lucchina of Razorimages.
The band features Englund, bassist Jocke Skog (ex Clawfinger, Aeckel), drummer Kevin Talley (Suffocation, ex Dying Fetus, ex Black Dahlia Murder) and vocalist Mario Santos Ramos (Demonoid).

Killswitch Engage, Cannibal Corpse, Ex-Black Dahlia Murder Side Project Out This Year?
The much talked about unnamed project with Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, Cannibal Corpse vocalist George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher, and former Black Dahlia Murder drummer Shannon Lucas looks like a release will become a reality later in the year.
