Elder Streams New Single “Embers”, Pre-Orders for “Omens” are Available Now

Elder has streamed a brand new single, ‘Embers’ via Stereogum. The track comes from the forthcoming new album Omens releasing via Armageddon Shop/Armageddon Records this coming April 24th. Elder to Release New Album, “Omens”, This Spring


Progressive band Elder will release their highly anticipated new album, Omens, April 24th via Armageddon Shop. The band has also booked an extensive headline tour this spring, with direct support to come from Bask. New music and pre-order information are soon to follow. The five-song, 54-minute album is a concept album that mimics the lifespan of a civilization, and also reads as a commentary on our own society hell-bent on profitability at the expense of our own lives and environment. Omens was produced by Peter Deimel (Anna Calvi, The Kills, The Wedding Present) and recorded at Studio Black Box in Noyant-La-Gravoyêre, France. Deimel and guitarist Nick DiSalvo mixed the collection.Continue reading


FESTIVAL REVIEW: RPM Festival 2019


A three-day music festival in the woods with rock, punk, metal, copious amount of drinking, and an undying sense of community… throw that all in a blender with some camping and yard games and you get RPM Fest. The “Heaviest Party of the Summer” and the unofficial end to the summer in the New England metal scene. This was my 2nd year at RPM Fest so I knew what to expect, but at the same time, I didn’t know what to expect. Deserfest 2017 Part II: Live At Various Venues, London

With the queue for Sunday’s opening act Wizard Fight snaking out the door of the Black Heart, there’s a little wait to see Wales’ HARK. Although different from Jim Isaac’s previous outfit Taint, the two share a lot of common DNA; Aggressive, angular riffs with plenty of groove, time changes galore, and plenty of chances to bang your head. There’s a big, receptive crowd for so early in the afternoon, and the band respond with a loud and energetic performance.Continue reading
