BABYMETAL Stream New Single “Elevator Girl”, Books USA Tour With Avatar
BABYMETAL has streamed a brand new single, ‘Elevator Girl’, out now via their international label earMUSIC to stream and purchase. The track is the first new music from their highly-anticipated third album due later this year. The dynamic “kawaii metal” group blending J-Pop and Power Metal that has taken the world by storm in just a few short years will finally embark on a headline tour of North America next fall. The band’s first-ever full-scale headlining U.S. tour will kick off on September 4 in Orlando, Florida, and run through an October 16 in Seattle, Washington. The trek includes the previously announced October 11 gig at The Forum in Los Angeles, which will mark BABYMETAL’s first headlining arena show in the States. Avatar will provide direct support on all dates. They also will play London 02 Academy Brixton on Tuesday 2nd July, marking their first UK headline show since their record-breaking Wembley Arena show in April 2016. They will also have two support bands on the bill, a UK first, in the form of majestic Swedish metallers Amaranthe and mysterious masked music collective Sleep Token. Listen to ‘Elevator Girl’ now.

Avatar Books US Tour Dates with Devin Townsend, Dance with The Dead and `68
Theatrical Swedish metal band Avatar has booked a new tour of the USA, dubbed “Avatar Country World Tour 2019”. Direct support will come from progressive music legend singer/songwriter and producer Devin Townsend, who will perform a full acoustic set. Dance With The Dead and ’68 will open the show. Dates include three prestigious North American rock festivals — Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio on May 17, Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma on May 26, and Domination 2019 in Mexico City on May 3.Continue reading

Trivium’s Matt Heafy Leaves Tour To Be With Pregnant Wife, Fill-ins Announced
Trivium shredder and screamer Matt Heafy left his current headline tour to race home to be with his pregnant wife who is carrying twins. In a video shared to social media, Matt said he was gutted to leave the tour, but needed to be with his wife, who might give birth at any time. Rather than cancel the remaining dates, Howard Jones of openers Light The Torch (ex-Killswitch Engage) and YouTube vlogger/shredder Jared Dimes will fill in the remaining dates. There is a possibility that Matt will also rejoin the tour at some point. The band is out on the road supporting last year’s album The Sin and The Sentence (Roadrunner).Continue reading
