Metalcore leaders August Burns Red have shared a new single “Extinct by Instinct (Reprise)” – a stripped-down and reimagined version of a track from their 2020 album Guardians. ABR, led by JB Brubaker [lead guitar], Brent Rambler [rhythm guitar], Matt Greiner [drums], Jake Luhrs [lead vocals], and Dustin Davidson [bass] released this along with their recent singles “Standing in the Storm” and “Chop Suey!” – made famous by System of A Down. Florida Psychedelic Blues Rock band, The Apocalypse Blues Revival will release their new self-titled album this Friday, December, 11th 2020. The album can be pre-ordered and pre-saved to stream on all DSPs. ABR will drop a new video this Friday, “Waltz Of The Antichrist/Impure” along with a live chat joined by Shannon Larkin and Shane Hall. The 9-track album loosely follows an autobiographical narrative centered around a protagonist on the left-hand path, embracing dark magic rituals that begins on “Waltz of the Antichrist/Impure,” and later changes his ways to ascension concluding with the seven minute-plus track, “A Gecko (Part 2) – The Endless Possibility of Water (666 Reprise),” that stretches towards a fiery musical catharsis. Metalcore leaders August Burns Red have announced the Constellations 10-Year Anniversary World Tour. The band will perform the album in full every night of the tour. The tour runs from the end of summer through the end of the year. The North American leg of the tour, presented by Merch Central, kicks off on June 20 in the band’s hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and runs through August 11 in New York City. Silverstein and Silent Planet will serve as support. The band will then travel to Australia in October and to Europe in November and December. Opening acts are for Australia are TBA, while Erra and Currents will be supported on the European leg. All dates are below. Director Drew Russ discusses the making of the clip in a comment:
“This video is a mixed media piece using custom designed illustrations combined with live action footage. All of the outlines were hand drawn (by Mike Cortada) custom for this video. Then, using a light box, outlines were then painted over on watercolor paper, combined digitally and composited into the video.”
Having just wrapped up a main stage appearance all summer on on Warped Tour, the band will next be seen on a European tour with Europe / UK tour with Asking Alexandria, Memphis May Fire, and In Hearts Wake.
