Melodic Death Metal legend Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom passed away two years ago this week. To honor his memory, Nekrogoblikon has covered “Bodom Beach Terror”. The song was released on the genre classic Hate Crew Deathroll in 2003.
The Black Sabbath Albums Featuring Singer Tony Martin will Be Reissued in 2023, According to Tony Iommi
Tony Iommi has confirmed that the album Black Sabbath made with Tony Martin (read his new album review here) will be reissued in 2023. Iommi discussed the re-releases in a post on what would have been drummer Cozy Powell‘s 75th birthday on Thursday, December 29th. Iommi shared the following message:

Metallica held it’s third annual All Within My Hands – Helping Hands Charity Concert. The event was the first broadcast all over the world. After a “black carpet” pre-show with band interviews, the main event was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Awards were handed out to fellow charitable difference makers from across the world of nonprofits and celebs. Greta Van Fleet opened, followed by Metallica. They performed a set of unplugged songs, followed by a break and then an electric set. Former Metallica AWMH intern Avi Vinocur, performed with the band on backing vocals, mandolin, acoustic, electric and 12-string guitars. CONCERT REVIEW: W.A.S.P. – Armored Saint Live at The Regency Ballroom
A seasonably cold night in the Bay Area was heated up considerably by old-school, razor-sharp American Heavy Metal riffs on this late November night. All the usual suspects were out in their finest vintage shirts bought on ebay and secondhand spikes and leather as W.A.S.P. made their long-awaited return to North America on their 40th Anniversary tour. The crowd was extra-hopped up (pun intended) from the second I got on line outside the venue. Clearly, people were pre-gaming at nearby watering hole spots like Tommy’s Joynt, The Cinch Saloon, or Harper and Rye.
