Exclusive Stream: Nostalgist – Of Loves and Days Ago Album

On the verge of releasing their new album, Seattle post-punk shoegaze act Nostalgist have teamed up with Ghost Cult to present a full stream for Of Loves and Days Ago (Nostalgium Directive) due out on July 10th. To celebrate the release, the band is undertaking a West Coast tour starting this Friday, with a hometown show at Barboza with VibraGun and Winnebago. A full list of dates can be seen below. Led by Asa Eisenhardt on vocals and guitar, Nostalgist also counts Connor Keogh on bass and Mark Knowles on drums in their ranks. Formed in late 2012, Of Loves and Days Ago is the follow up to 2013’s acclaimed Monochromantic EP, which featured Nick Bassett (Whirr, Nothing, Deafheaven) on lead guitar and engineered/mixed/mastered by Jack Shirley.

Nostalgist Book West Coast Tour Ahead of New Album

North Bay post punkers Creative Adult is streaming the entire Ring Around The Room EP, out for Record Store Day (April 18, 2015) via Run For Cover Records. Stream it below. Wild Moth Releasing Inhibitor On May 26th, Southwest US Tour Dates Confirmed

Wild Moth have confirmed a May 26, 2015 release date for their forthcoming release Inhibitor on Iron Pier.

Inhibitor is the follow-up to Wild Moth’s 2013 debut full-length on Asian Man, Over, Again, as well as a recent split 7″ (Broke Hatre) with fellow Bay Area post-punks Creative Adult.

Inhibitor was recorded at Atomic Gardens with Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Joyce Manor, Whirr) and Max Senna (Miserable) at Secret Bathroom Studios, and it finds Wild Moth hitting a new gear. Layering sludgy, darkly textured guitars on top of each other, the band pulls the listener along on an even stronger melodic underpinning than previous releases.

In late March, Wild Moth will headline a tour of California and Arizona with new label mates and recent Iron Pier signings Hollow Sunshine. The outfit will hit the road again in mid-April supporting Whirr across the Southwest and California.

Taking the best parts of 90s alt-rock and emo and infusing them with a healthy amount of punk energy, every song radiates warm, infectious pop hooks and the constant vocal tandem of Reba and Kimi. There’s something undeniably relatable about Adventures and their songs that deal in honesty, self-doubt and everyday struggle. Cloakroom Streaming Further Out Album In Full

Cloakroom is streaming their sophomore album Further Out, out January 20, 2015 via Run For Cover Records, here.

They had a busy year in 2014 touring with Whirr, Nothing, and Basement, as well as recording Further Out, the band’s upcoming full length record at Earth Analog Studios with Matt Talbott (Hum/Centaur) set for release on January 20, 2015. Cloakroom and Talbott recorded the album 100% analog, from recording to mixing to mastering to creating the vinyl parts.
