Seminal avant-garde metal band Mr. Bungle has returned to their roots in hardcore and metal as they released a new single and video for “Raping Your Mind”! Mr. Bungle Teases New Song Coming Later This Week


Mr. Bungle is teasing a new song, coming later this week, Thursday, August 13th! The band earlier this summer shared their cover of The Exploited’s political punk anthem ‘USA’! That single and limited edition t-shirt is out now with 100% of proceeds donated to Musicares Covid-19 Relief Fund! The Bay Area band, whose current incarnation features original members Trevor Dunn, Mike Patton (Faith No More, Dead Cross) and Trey Spruance with Scott Ian (Anthrax, S.O.D) and Dave Lombardo (Dead Cross, ex-Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies), has recorded new music for an EP release, potentially including the seminal demo The Raging Wrath of The Easter Bunny, and new covers and new versions of unreleased songs the band played on their February mini-tour.

Mr. Bungle Releases Cover of The Exploited’s “USA” for Charity, First New Music in 21 Years


After teasing it on social media, Mr. Bungle has shared their cover of The Exploiteds political punk anthem ‘USA’! The single and limited edition t-shirt is out now with 100% of proceeds donated to Musicares Covid-19 Relief Fund! The Bay Area band, whose current incarnation features original members Trevor Dunn, Mike Patton (Faith No More, Dead Cross) and Trey Spruance with Scott Ian (Anthrax, S.O.D) and Dave Lombardo (Dead Cross, ex-Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies), is donating 100% of the proceeds from both the song and a limited edition t-shirt to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, through the 4th of July. Mr. Bungle Teases More Behind The Scenes Images from The Recording Studio


A few days after teasing a new recording, Mr. Bungle has shared more photos on social media (Instagram and Twitter). The band is apparently in the studio working on new recordings, likely with the lineup that just performed the Mr. Bungle reunion shows last month. Joining Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn and Trey Spruance for those shows were Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian and Suicidal Tendencies and Dead Cross drummer Dave Lombardo. In addition to performing all of The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny demo, the band performed several “new” songs live that were just early unreleased Bungle hardcore songs, eight covers and ten originals overall during their shows. The band has not released any new music since their California album in 1999. Any new Mr. Bungle release would be a cause to celebrate so fingers crossed! Continue reading

Mr. Bungle Are Working on Covers for their Reunion Shows


Mr. Bungle is gearing up for their reunion shows in February in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City. The band will perform their 1986 demo, The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny in its entirety. It will mark the first time Mr. Bungle has performed in close to 20 years and the first time these songs have been played live in over 30 years. The band comprised of original Mr. Bungle members Trevor Dunn, Mike Patton, and Trey Spruance will be joined by Scott Ian (Anthrax, S.O.D.) and Dave Lombardo (Dead Cross, Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies) for the dates. Opening acts for the six shows will include Cattle Decapitation, Possessed, Hirax, the Melvins, Ho99o9, C*nts, and Spotlights,.The band posted to social media that they are working on cover songs for the show, and hopefully some other Mr. Bungle tracks will be played, since their final album, California, turned twenty years old in 2019. The initial surprises reunion tour dates booked by Mr. Bungle have grown now that the pre-sakes indicated overwhelming demand. They have added an additional night to each of their previously announced The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny performances in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. The dates, which feature the Eureka-born band performing their 1986 demo in its entirety, mark both the first time Mr. Bungle has performed in close to 20 years and the first time these songs have been played live in over 30 years.
