Former Divine Heresy vocalist Travis Neal is fighting cancer and has launched a GoFundMe to help pay for his ongoing treatment and care. He has accrued a “huge out-of-pocket cost so far” … “and is trying to keep a float.” Travis rose to fame as the second vocalist of Divine Heresy, led by Fear Factory guitarist/leader Dino Cazares, and released a single and the full-length the album Bringer of Plagues with the band in 2009. Travis recently recorded with Dark Shift, has had his own solo project Black Sky Ashes, formerly of Dirge Within and with many other bands. According to the post, Travis has a new album nearly completed and will give donors music in the future, rather than just a charitable donation. I took a ride over to the Gramercy Theater in NYC to catch the Brothers In Arms tour featuring Drowning Pool and Ill Niño with support from HED.PE and Evolution Empire. While I have been long time fan of Drowning pool, this was my first time seeing them and any of the bands on this bill.
