Staind Announces New Live Album and Livestream Series
Multi-platinum active rock band Staind has returned to activity with a new live album from their comeback tour in 2019 and has also announced a livestream series. The band will release their first album in 9 Years, Live: It’s Been Awhile, on May 7th, 2021. The performance comes from their tour stop in their comeback show at their old stomping grounds at Foxwoods Casino and Resorts in Connecticut, a short drive from the band’s Massachusetts roots. They also announced The Return Of Staind: A Two-Part Global Streaming Series, in partnership with Danny Wimmer Presents (Sonic Temple, Welcome to Rockville, Louder than Life, Aftershock Festival). LIVESTREAM REVIEW: Puscifer – Existential Reckoning – Live at The Arcosanti
Theatrical Rock troupe Puscifer never does anything small and never has. Everything they do feels like an event level thing in an “it’s all happening” way. In the early days of the band, it was singles and EP’s before their debut album. Then it was a Paul Frank clothing drop or a few shows. Now, even in these trying times choking the music industry, the band finds creative ways to top themselves. They just released their new album, Existential Reckoning (read our review here) and for Halloween, they shared a visually striking, possibly insane, and high-quality multi-media livestream performance, Existential Reckoning – Live at The Arcosanti in the Arizona desert.

With a rash of postponements and cancellations, Danny Wimmer Presents, the company that puts on North America’s largest commercial Rock and Metal fests Sonic Temple, Welcome To Rockville and Epicenter, is advising caution and still figuring out what do do with the upcoming editions of the popular spring festivals. A number of festivals have been canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Coachella and Stagecoach have been pushed to October, while South By Southwest was canceled. Metallica Pulls Out of Sonic Temple and Louder than Life Fests, Citing Personal Issues
Metallica has pulled out of their upcoming expected headline gigs at Sonic Temple this spring and Louder than Life next fall. This is due to James Hetfield’s ongoing recovery work and a need to prioritize his personal self-care, which has suffered in recent years. The band will honor all other shows this year, including Welcome To Rockville. Tool and The Red Hot Chili Peppers will step in for both festivals. Mongolian “Hunnu Rock” band The Hu has added a bunch of festival dates to their spring schedule. Notably, they have joined the lineups for Sonic Temple, Welcome To Rockville, Epicenter and MMRBQ. Metallica to Headline Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Welcome To Rockville, and Epicenter Festivals in 2020
Metallica has announced, in conjunction with Danny Wimmer Presents that the band will headline all of their major rock and metal festivals in 2020! In an unprecedented move, the biggest band of all-time will perform two nights of each three-night event, and play totally different sets each night. More details and many more bands to be announced for all of those fests, the first being Epicenter, which is about 203 days away. Other fests include Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, and Welcome To Rockville. Tickets on sale this Monday, 10/14 at 9 AM PST/ Noon EST.
