Vegas Rock Revolution‘s Planet Desert Rock Weekend has just revealed the full lineup for its fifth edition, taking place in Las Vegas, January 30th-February 2nd, 2025. 8 international bands, such as Mr. Bison, JIRM, and Sergeant Thunderhoof join the likes of Fireball Ministry, Unida, Mos Generator, Solace, Valley of the Sun and Paw frontman Mark Hennessey‘s Godzillionaire at the event. This year, Californian label Ripple Music records also curate an night presenting artists from their roster. Find more details below.

ALBUM REVIEW: REZN – Solace

Though hailing from Chicago, Illinois, the doom metal of Rezn displays a touch of East-Asian mysticism about it, on Solace – the band’s self-released fourth full-length. Slow-to-mid-paced, hypnotic riffing goes from nimble and floating to heavy and crushing (and back again) all fluidly and with an altogether gorgeous production that makes this metal album akin to some exotic sweet that still delivers satisfying, crushing heaviness.

Black Coast – Ill Minds Vol.2

Rather than release a full album straight off the bat after their debut EP, Stoke-On-Trent based Metalcore act, Black Coast decided to go down a different route, by releasing two connected EPs. The first part arrived last year and demonstrated their pure rage and potential to become one of the subgenres next big-hitters.
