PREVIEW: MegaCruise Makes Its Debut at Sea Today!

Following the pre-cruise party last night with UFO, Raven, and Armored Saint, the Megacruise tales off today from Los Angeles for its maiden voyage! The cruise features members of Megadeth, and performances from Lamb of God, Anthrax, Testament, Dragonforce, Overkill, Corrosion Of Conformity,  Queensryche, Suicidal Tendencies, Death Angel, Sacred Reich, Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons, Doro, Armored Saint, John 5, Metal Church, Danko Jones, Beastö Blancö, Metalachi, and Toothgrinder. Megadeth tribute band Mechanix will also take part in the cruise, hand-selected by Dave Mustaine himself. In addition, Official Cruise Hosts Eddie Trunk (VH1, SiriusXM, Axs), Luc Carl (SiriusXM) and Jose Mangin (SiriusXM) will be moderating Q&As and events. Departing out of Los Angeles aboard the Norwegian Jewel, the five-day/five-night full ship charter cruise will set sail toniht, October 13-18, 2019, visiting two ports of call (Ensenada, Mexico and San Diego, California) and host two heavy metal-filled days of music and events. The cruise will also feature an optional pre-cruise party in Los Angeles (details to be announced), Megadeth wine and beer tastings and a ton of metal fan frivolity! Megacruise Adds Raven, Ben Woods and Hollywood Pre-Party

Rooms are selling out fast for Megadeth’s inaugural Megacruise, setting sail next from Los Angeles, California on Sunday, October 13, 2019, for five days. The cruise has added metal legends Raven, as well as Ben Woods and booked a Hollywood pre-cruise party at Avalon featuring UFO, Armored Saint, and Raven as well. joining Anthrax, Testament, Dragonforce, Overkill, Corrosion Of Conformity, Devildriver, Queensryche, Suicidal Tendencies, Death Angel, Sacred Reich, Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons, Doro, Armored Saint, John 5, Metal Church, Danko Jones, Beastö Blancö, Metalachi, and Toothgrinder. Bush To Release New Album “The Mind Plays Tricks On You” Later in 2019

Bush has set The Mind Plays Tricks On You as the title of their new album, due for release next fall, with the date yet to be announced. The disc was recorded at a Los Angeles studio with film composer Tyler Bates, who has previously worked with Marilyn Manson. The new album will feature a song called ‘Bullet Holes’, which will also be featured in the upcoming film John Wick 3. Burton C. Bell Announces New Fear Factory Album – “Monolith”

The new Fear Factory album is due later in 2019 and is called Monolith via Nuclear Blast. In a new interview between frontman Burton C. Bell and SiriusXM’s Jose Mangin just posted from this past November’s inaugural Headbangers Con in Portland, Oregon. Bell said “Fear Factory, we have a new record. It’s done. It’s delivered to the label. And we’ve got some technical difficulties, and once that’s finished, the record’s gonna come out. It’s gonna be called ‘Monolith’. It’s a great record.” The new Fear Factory album will be their first since 2015’s Genexus. We’ll have more details as they are announced.Continue reading →

Disturbed’s new album Evolution, is out today via Reprise Records. Last night they played an intimate hometown show in Chicago where they played new songs and hits. At the 1,000-capacity Vic Theatre presented by SiriusXM, saw the band perform the live premieres of the first two singles from Evolution, ‘Are You Ready’ and ‘A Reason To Fight’, You can see pro-shot video from the show below. Fans gathered from around the USA and even the far reaches of the globe to attend the second annual Chicago Open Air festival. Although Rock On The Range, Louder than Life, Aftershock and others wear the crown for the greatest commercial rock and metal festivals in America, COA is poised to challenge both of those fests. Over 70,000 fans from everywhere came out to the fest in one of America’s greatest cities to see 40 bands on two stages.
