Nergal and Misþyrming, Plus The Haunted, Gavin Portland, Múr, and More Booked for Sátan Festival


Emerging Icelandic metal festival, Sátan, has revealed its final wave of bands for 2026. Included, is a special collaboration between Behemoth frontman, Nergal, and Icelandic black metallers, Misþyrming. They will perform Behemoth’s debut album, Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic), in full. Also joining the bill are Icelandic post-hardcore outfit, Gavin Portland, Swedish thrash pioneers, The Haunted, and Iceland Music Award‘s 2025 “Newcomer of the Year,” Múr. Find out more below.

ALBUM REVIEW: Isafjord – Hjartastjaki


Hjartastjaki (Svart) is an almost cinematic experience, as Isafjord create bleak and desolate landscape pictures with their sombre atmospheric music. The duo of Solstafir vocalist Addi Tryggvason and multi-instrumentalist Ragnar Zolberg (Sign) wrote the album while holed up together in an old house, during the depths of an icy winter and using a broken piano to start many of their ideas.
