Bloodstock Open Air has added seven more bands to the bill for 2019, including Aborted, Skeletal Remains, The Lazys, 3 Headed Snake, Boss Keloid, Dust Bolt, and Red Method. The fest has also added seven more coach pick-ups for the fest, which you can see below. Eighty more bands still to be named for BOA 2019, with headliners Sabaton, Parkway Drive and Scorpions, join Anthrax, Dimmu Borgir, Children Of Bodom, Code Orange, Powerwolf, Soilwork, Cradle Of Filth, Thy Art Is Murder, Tesseract, Metal Church, Soulfly, Death Angel, Dee Snider, Queensryche, Eluveitie, Swallow The Sun, Evil Scarecrow, Ross The Boss, Grand Magus, Rotting Christ, Incite and Hypocrisy on the Catton Park stages this August. Bloodstock Adds Powerwolf, Soulfly, Incite, and Swallow The Sun

Bloodstock has kicked off their 2019 by adding four more bands to the 2019 festival lineup. Powerwolf, Soulfly, Incite and Swallow The Sun join the bill, and add both diversity and power. Incite’s new album is out this week and Swallow The Sun’s new album is out in two weeks. Bloodstock Open Air continues to grow into a monster lineup as the vaunted festival has added five new bands for 2019! New to the bill are Grand Magus, Death Angel, Metal Chuch, Ross the Boss and Evil Scarecrow! Grand Magus will headline the Sophie Lancaster stage and aims to have a new album out in time for the festival. Victoria Hungerford Talks Booking Bloodstock Open Air And More

The biggest underground metal festival in the world, Bloodstock Open Air kicks off today. Headlined by titans of metal like Judas Priest, Nightwish, and Gojira, the festival has grown over the years from a small cottage enterprise to a huge undertaking. One of the lynchpins of the operation is Vicky Hungerford, as one of the four directors of the festival. She is directly responsible for booking the bands on the fest and attracting world-class talent every year. Thus, she helps to shape rock and metal history in the process year in and year out. We chatted with Vicky by phone a few days ago to get her take on BOA 2018, the challenges of planning such a big festival, and much more.
